So, I've been dating this guy for about a year and a half. We used to go places together all the time, like the mall or the movies. Now, all he does is read Harry Potter and play his guitar. Everytime I ask him to take me to the movies or the mall, he makes up excuses like he needs to practice his guitar or something. I know for a fact he's not cheating on me. But I've been debating on wether I should break up with him or not. Also, I don't want to be one of those annoying girls asking him to constantly take me out all the time. Once a month would be fine with me, but that doesn't happen either. What should I do?

Have you told him exactly what you just said here. Tell him the changes you've seen in him and his actions. Everyone says that good communication is the key to making a relationship a good one. Its so very true. I experienced this the hard way. i'm not a very good communicator myself, but I'm working on it. Just be flat out honest with him. Maybe he just got tired of the movies or the mall. Find other activities that you both like. Interested in playing the guitar at all? Have him teach you! It will be fun for both of you. First thing is first, sit down and have a really good talk with him. If he's not willing to change or if he just doesn't see that he's changed, then I'm sure you can do way better!

Communication is the key to all relationships. The first thing you need to do is sit down in private with your boyfriend and tell him how you feel. There may be a good reason why he doesn't do the things he use to do. This does not mean that he doesn't love you but he just might be shy when it comes to talking out his problems. If you have been dating for a year, you should know a little about him. Be there for him and explain to him that you need for him to be there for you too.

Sit him down and let him know this. You've been together quite awhile...don't ruin it because of a misunderstanding. If, however, you can't get through to him and he isn't going to change, I'd break it off. I mean, you deserve better than that. There's nothing wrong with wanting him to take you out...I mean, you're dating, you're supposed to spend time together.

If he can't spend time with you once a month then it is time to move on. It is not going to get any better than this. There is someone out there that will treat you how you deserve. Good luck.

Sounds like my guy but with Halo 3. Hes 18, and doesnt do anything with me anymore. Its SOOO boring around him. I just watch him play, then tell him we are going somewhere. If he doesnt get up and come, I call my girlfriends and go. Then he gets mad and comes the next time!
Good luck!
