That "white" stuff is the mold that grows on the poop after it has been left out for a while. The poop is actually brown when it's been "pooped"

Dog foods in the past used to contain a lot more bone meal. The poo wouldn't come out white, but would turn white after the moisture evaporated. I believe that's what I read. It's been a couple years, but I read an article in a dog mag about this. Hope that helps.

The white was probably calcium which takes a lot longer to break down. Years ago we had more hard water which was clcium in it as well as giving our dogs the bones from tabl scraps. Now we try to feed our dogs healthier. This "white-poop" seemed to happen more in the hotter weather when things broke down or degraded more quickly

white "poop" was because in the past dog food was mostly fat, or protien with some fillers and a smidge of good stuff. white poop is high fat content or high protien content. know doys dog foods are more well balanced because people want there animals to be healthier and we know alot more about what dogs should eat know than we used to know.

It's just when the poop has been sitting for a while that it turns white. It starts to dry up,and mold grows on it as well. That's how your dad knew you'd missed it,because it had sat there for a while.

white dookie usually signified that the dog's body was not working properly, the gall bladder, bile, etc. Sometimes it is from eating bones...it shouldn't be white. Needs to be brown like, uh, Mr. Hankey......LOL
