You could use any recipe and add some candy sprinkles in orange and brown for fall color or red and green for Christmas.



Jolly Time Popcorn Ball Recipe

2 qts popped jollytime popcorn
1 cup sugar
1/3 c light corn syrup
1/3 c water
1/4 c butter or marg
1/2 t salt
1 t vanilla

Recipe


Keep pop corn warm in 200d oven while preparing coating. In 2 qt saucepan stir together sugar, corn syrup, water, butter and salt. Cook over med heat, stirring constantly until mix comes to a boil. Continue cooking w/o stirring until temp reaches 270 d F on a candy thermometer or until a small amount dropped into very cold water seperates into threads, which are not brittle. Remove from heat. Add vanilla; stir just enough to mix through hot syrup. Slowly pour over pop corn, stirring to coat every kernel. Cool just enough to handle. With greased hands, shape into balls. Makes 12 medium sized balls.

CANDY POPCORN BALLS

12 c. popped popcorn
1 c. peanuts
3/4 c. M&M'S®
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 (10 1/2 oz.) bag miniature marshmallows
1 (4 serving) pkg. Jello gelatin any flavor
Extra butter for greasing hands

Pour popcorn in huge bowl with candy and nuts. Mix together. Put butter and marshmallows in large microwavable bowl. Cook on high for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until marshmallows are puffed.

Remove from microwave. Mix together with a spoon. Add gelatin to marshmallow mixture. Mix well. Pour mixture over popcorn. Stir quickly to cover evenly. Grease hands well, then shape mixture into balls. Place on waxed paper until cool. Then wrap individually.

Make them with marshmellows and butter....just like Rice Krispie treats. You can add m&m's, nuts, candy corn, anything you like to them.
