i hear people on here asking for advice on how to stop doing it, but has anyone here actually succeeded? I've tried a hundred times, but the longer i go without masturbating, the more my sexual drive builds up and i can only quit for a week, or a month at best.
If you have actually quit for good, how did you do it?
How many months or years did you do it before you quit and how long has it been since you quit?

It takes 7 to 21 days to replenish from a single male ejaculation. However, since a man will masturbate the next day and see the same amount of "white stuff" so he will assume that it has been replenished. Big mistake! The body then squeezes these lost nutrients out of different organs in the body, thus limiting a mans masculinity, growth, and muscle size.

Why would you want to quit? Keep doing what you're doing and enjoy yourself! Even if you get married you might not quit! I'm not married but in a serious relationship, trying to have a child and I still do it! Almost every day! It's not dirty - don't think of it that way!

certain religious practices and religions use sexuality in order to develop a sense of guilt within their followers and thus be able to control them.
they know that they forbid things that people cannot stop doing, i mean god gave you genitalia and gave you hands for you to use and the inclination to use them.
some religious practices advocate "channeling" your sexual energies into "productive uses"... again, to make you have desires that you cannot satistfy by yourself and so you'll work hard and contribute to the economy and thus have more money to tithe.
i say, instead of trying to stop, try to limit yourself to 1-2 times a day and up to 20-30 minutes a time ;)

Physical changes like lessening levels of hormones - common for my age- have driven my libido quite low, so no sex drive, no need for sexual outlet.

Just the way of things as we get older.

Icy- Good for you! After all, the career development books all say to capitalize on your strengths!

Just buck up and keep your hands where God can see them. Take a cold shower every hour. After you get past the first year it gets easier. I have gone 15 years now.

Why would you want to quit? There is nothing wrong with masturbating. In fact, there are many positive things about it. Don't let people make you feel like you are doing something wrong!

For pete's sake, why would you WANT to quit? It's normal, natural and necessary.

Oh, and before you think I'm some horny teenage boy - I'm a 56 year old grandmother. I've been doing it all my life, and can't think of a single reason to quit.

Lighten up on yourself.
