I'd ask the person in charge of the church if this is absolutely true, and if so, if they could make an exception. Though I don't see anything wrong with her NOT throwing petals, it's super cute when they do :)

Ask the church to be sure. Maybe they don't allow real petals to be tossed. Just buy silk ones. Those should be OK to use and can be picked up as soon as the ceremony is over. They don't make a mess and won't stain anything.
If they don't want any petals tossed, just have the flower girl carry a small basket of flowers.

Yes it is perfectly fine for the flower girl to not toss petals.
At times they walk down with the ring bearer.
They typically have a basket for flowers rather than an other type of bouquet and sometimes they are the ones that hold the maid of honor's flowers while she holds the brides for the ring ceremony.
I have never seen a wedding where flowers or petals were tossed. tho' I understand when it is done it is usually done with a runner - the runner protects any carpet from being stained by having petals crushed.

There are a couple of schools of thought on that first there is rose', Daises and about any large petal flower or you could have a flowers like yours in a basket or a nosegay I would sugest seeing if petals are a loud to be tosed a lot of places say no do to the mess

A lot of churches discourage, petal, rice and confetti throwing nowadays. Im sure its because they are the ones left to clean the mess. If you want the flower girl to be able to throw them then have a talk to the Priest and see if you can come to an arrangement that you will have someone sweep them up afterwards. Otherwise maybe have her walk down the aisle blowing bubbles... that would look cute.

Yes, that is perfectly fine, you don't have to walk down the aisle on a bed of petals, it's fine if she just walks, I've seen flower girls carry teddies instead of flower petals, it is just a title after all.

I would think so, I have seen it before and it has always looked very nice and not so messy. they usually carry a miniture bouquet instead of the traditional basket. I have also seen flower girls blow bubbles instead of tossing the petals because of the mess in the church needed to be avoided.

Hi and congratulations!
Most definitely! At my son's wedding, the little flower girl carried a "kissing ball" like the one pictured here:

It was so cute! Otherwise, just have her carry a basket of flowers. I am Catholic and it is never allowed at any wedding (in the Catholic Church) that I have been to and the flower girls are still adorable!
Good luck!
