nope, just simple observation of the world around me, can't help it if you find the results to be generalizing (like a statistical average is a value judgement)

You might be surprised how many seemingly normal appearing people are fundamentalists. Just as it is difficult to tell who is an atheist. People are different.

I think you live in a small world. Do you not know that you can have a "fundamentalist" in any group? Healers, teachers, preachers, musicians, even bikers? Expand your view.
