I really like the hazelnut cocoa spread Nutella. I'm wondering if anyone has a favorite way to use it, whether it's a favorite bread to spread it on, or a good recipe using it? I'd like to try some different ways of enjoying my favorite spread.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys a big spoonful right out of the jar. I make a chocolate hazelnut fudge (and I don't use Nutella in it, just semi-sweet chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, and a few other basic fudge ingredients) and it tastes almost exactly like it!

I am in love with Nutella. It's a great product that makes me feel like I'm still getting a source of protein through the nuts. So, when I don't have a good dessert around the house I put some Nutella on a spoon like a chocolate lollipop. It's really yummy. Another thing I like to do with Nutella is this, when I really feel like treating myself I make a Nutella sandwich ( with or without sliced strawberries or sliced banana pieces) and I just use it like a normal spread on a sandwich. This is a great treat to make on a not so great day. It always cheers me up.

I don't have a favorite!
Right out of the jar is great....
I also like it with fluff on toast and as a dip for pretzels.

I went to a restaurant once where it was served like this:
Fresh fried dough was covered in cinnamon and granulated sugar with vanilla gelato and melted Nutella over all of it.
It was HANDS DOWN the best dessert I've ever eaten. I had to refrain from picking the plate up and licking it clean (it was a nice place).

Yum!

In Paris there are Crepe stands selling bananna and Nutella crepes all over the place. They're really good.

either just eating nutella straight up out of the bottle... or putting it on toast by itself...
or using it in a sandwich with marshmallow.
either way nutella is the best ever!!!!

Banana and Nutella sandwiches are lovely. I make chocolate cakes or biscuits and use it as icing topping with sprinkles of grated chocolate.

Hmmmm.....let me dig around. I subscribe to a handful of cooking magazines. One of them has desserts for the holidays and nutella is used extensively in a couple of those lovely Italian desserts they feature.
