people who were abused as a child (being serious). or could be previous bad experiences. either serious like assualt, etc, or just like me and my friend... we were best friends for three years and hugged less than 5 times. because every time we would something weird would happen. like once I was trying to pat her shoulder and grabbed her boob instead. x_x
could be awkward people too. I'm not really comfortable giving up my personal "bubble" to people I either: don't know/like, or people I like too much. if you know what I mean. ;) I get nervous.

Well, I don't like being grabbed by people I'm not close to, and I don't think this is unreasonable. Some people are "huggers" and some... aren't. Hey, some people love broccoli and some hate it - it's just a matter of personal preference.
Thing is, you don't really need ANY reasons not to like hugging. You just don't, that's all. "I'm always glad to see you - I'm just not a hugger" is a legitimate explanation.
You need to learn "The Secret Handshake" maneuver we not-really-huggers use. When a Hugger approaches you, you take one step back, grab the Hugger's hands (both hands) and squeeze gently, lifting your joined hands up between you. While you do this, smile and START TALKING! This is "Hi, how are you?" time, or "It was so good to see you!"
Huggers like to make as though hugging was some universal litmus test for how approachable/likeable/well-adjusted you are, but really, it's not.
BTW, I have a friend who has a rib that never healed correctly after an injury - hug her too hard and it pops out of place! She's gotten very good at The Secret Handshake - people don't even notice that she almost never hugs anyone.

Some folk dont like to be touched its hard to believe but its true. Maybe they get sexually excited when being too close to another body? Hugging my step ***** mother is ike hugging a board. her posture is saying I dont like you hugging me but I dont give a rats and do it because she becomes very uptight and I get a buzz out of disturbing the gold digger. Some folk may have been assaulted or raped maybe and hate any physical contact? I love the hug. I hug every one who will let me.My big boobed friend dosnt hug males because she thinks they wanna get jiggy with her bazooka's.

Some people are casual huggers and others find the act too intimate. It's just a matter of what you are used to and your own comfort zone.
But if you don't want even your intimate partner to hug you, maybe you just don't like it. I personally don't like holding hands. It feels awkward and uncomfortable to me.
Everyone is different.

you are alergic to emotions
had a rough childhood and dont feel comfortable when hugged
had a bad experience with other people hugging you
reminds you of some bad times
you simply dislike them cause its a fobia of yours or dont like them because you feel hugs are with people you trust not random people.
i think i ran out of excuses hehehe

they smell everywhere. and they squeeze you too hard so you cant breathe. or its one of those awkward hugs. when you guys dont really want to hug, but you know you have too..and it just ends up being really awkward and weird. or when its a goodbye hug. and you know its the last.
