From CHI
Price: $82.50
12 new or used available from $82.50
Product Description
Chi Original 1" Farouk CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Model GF-1001 The CHI can be considered
one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today. The CHI's ergonomic
design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist.
The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal
in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles
help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up. Featuring an
extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside
the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are
recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10
seconds. Temperature is preset at 150-180 degrees Celsius(302-356 degrees Fahrenheit)

I've had the same black Revlon straightener for 4 years. I've dropped it, and my little sister uses it everyday. It's wide to grab more hair. And strightens my think wavy/curly hair as flat as a board.
Don't buy the wet to dry one. That one sucks. I have it and it doesn't work very well at all. You're hair would be too thick.

If I were you I would purchase a straightener that you can use while your hair is wet.
It will save you a lot of time because when your hair is damp you can fit more hair in the straightener.
I have one like this and just a warning: Don't freak out if it steams when you use it on wet hair. It's ok! lol

I have really thick wavy hair and I use those Wet2Straight straighteners you can get at walmart for maybe $25? They aren't the greatest but they do me good. You can do it when you're hair is wet which is a plus but I don't do it often.
It'll steam when you do it but its normal because if it didn't steam that would mean your hair is burning.=]

If you're looking for something cheap, Conair has some that are about $25 but I can't swear that they're fast.
If you're looking for something that's super fast, CHI is great.
If you're looking for something permanent, try getting a Japanese perm. But they're around $500. They last for a year or so.

if you're looking for a permanant solution, consider the Japanese straightening system, aka thermal reconditioning. You'll end up with sleek and bone-straight hair. No need to blow dry or use a flat iron in the morning. Just let your hair air dry and it'll try straight. Refer to the site source for more info. http://www.glamouredited.com/hair/Japanese_hair_straightening_system.html

the CHI. it's amazing, a lot of hair dressers use them. they reach a super hot temperature, so you only have to go over your hair once.
