There are several things that you should consider and discuss with your doctors. It might be best if you asked your doctor to do a blood work up and see if your hormones are changing which might include the start of menopause. IF the blood work does not indicate that you're starting menopause, than you should consider the possibility that you've developed a depression and that you should request a recommendation for a therapist from one of your doctors, that should allow you to find out what's wrong.

I would say it could be the start of menopause. If your periods are very irregular or very light is a sign. Also your hormones are going through changes too. Sleep has to be some of the problem too. Make sure you are getting enough vitamins in you too. Look into Estroven for a menopause over the counter natural medicine. It will help.

You may be pre-menopausal, with the reduced amount of hormones your body is now producing affecting you. Hormone Replacement Therapy, for as short a time as needed (risks involved: consult your doctor!). Also, check out the following: www.changesforwomen.com (30 day free trial supply offered, of their product: but is it any good for your problem???) & http://www.knowmenopause.com/home.html & http://www.healthandwellnesscentral.com/Article/Overcoming-The-Symptoms-Of-Menopause/7134 Natural treatments for symptoms, like hot flashes, associated with menopause: Black Cohosh, Vitamin E (certified 100% natural origin), Evening Primrose Oil & cold showers. Some recommend Yoga, acupuncture/acupressure: see http://www.ezy-build.net. (.net.nz/~shaneris) in section 2: try the EFT, and practise one of the relaxation techniques on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i, on a daily basis: take the Omega 3 fish oil supplements, and consider trying St. John's Wort (Hypericum): I wouldn't use both this, and the "changes for women" product, at the same time. Ask your family to give you feedback on changes they may notice, with these treatments.

You really shouldnt be asking us, you should be asking him. Sit down and have a real conversation with him, if its over the phone or in person. He sounds like hes not happy maybe even depressed. This is something that is between the 2 of you, I dont think anyone can answer that for you. And of course its easy to say "walk away" , but could you really live with yourself knowing that you didnt even try?

Sound like it could be menopause, my mom went through exactly this. She is now using some herbal pills (as hormone replacement therapy have been shown to increase cancer risk) and feels great.

I suggest you book an appointment with your doctor to see if this can be the cause.

You need to look at the good things in life and cherish that. Don't dwell on the crappy things in life. If you can't change your mindset on your own then you should seek professional help so you can have a better quality of life and also for those around you to find it pleasant to be around you.

I am fifty and it sounds like a case of menopause. I went to the doctor and found out and he will give you something to balance your hormones. It will help you so much.

You need to talk to a counselor (therapist) and see if they think you need medication. I'm betting you've got a whopping case of depression. You'll need to see a psychiatrist for medication, and it could cause major differences in your attitudes and thoughts in just a few weeks. You'll be glad you went!
