I received a call the other night from a long time family friend. He was a military brat, and his mother and my mother were best friends. When we were little our mothers always joked that we would one day marry. When he was about five they moved. But over the years we have always kept in touch, and he always seemed to be in love with me, but I was never interested and never took his advances seriously. My mother passed away six years ago, but he and his mother and I have always remained in contact. Now last year about this time after coming out of horrible marriage I realized something...sometimes love can be starring you right in the face. So I immediately went after him. But the timing was bad, he was involved. Shortly there after, we got back in touch and his father died. But then its like he disappeared off of the face of the earth...Now this surprise phone call, and now he's singing my tune, that love has always been starring him in the face. Friends or Lovers? Let me know!

Seriously, take the risk. I knew my boyfriend since Nov 05. We hung out together a lot, and we were dating others at the moments. He'd rather have hung out with me and I always wanted to be with him. At one point we did hook up, not as a bf/gf, but something in between that friends and lovers stage. Then July 06 I was dating a horrible guy and he was dating my friend in which he broke up shortly before he started back talking to me cause we stopped a while. I sang to him, a song to let him know I wanted him and the next day he called my house saying "I love you". 15months later we are going strong and planning our wedding. :) Totally worth making that big step!

Sounds like the timing is finally right for you two - but get together first to check out the scenery - you both have changed a lot since you last saw each other....after that, nothing ventured, nothing gained I say - Go for it !!

lovers definitely! at least in my opinion it sounds like it. He disappeared to deal with his father. No matter how close you are to a guy friend they still don't like you to see them in pain or being emotional. And it sounds like now that he's grounded again he has decided to pursue you. Plus guys don't really play around with giving off signals. It takes guts to make advances on a girl that they are truely attracted to.

No, I thoroughly comprehend and consider you. I fell in love with one in each of my acquaintances... and inspite of the very shown fact that we did no longer fairly initiate a courting, I now sense as though i can't be around him anymore. it rather is not any longer infantile in any respect, some persons are waiting to stay acquaintances and a few are not. you're outstanding, in case you stayed in touch it might make it lots extra complicated to flow on. i do no longer understand why she does not comprehend, inspite of the very shown fact that it rather is unhappy that she has to lose you as a chum. i do no longer understand, yet carry in there. by ability of ways, great call. I crave simplicity from time to time besides, yet on the full i think of complexity makes issues extra exciting.
