Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house

It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

Scriptures that tell you to witness:
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel" and "Go into all the world and make disciples from every nation" and "Freely you have received, freely give"

Scriptures that tell you how (directly from the Master's own approach):
1. Give me a drink (said to the woman at the well)
2. Go fetch the donkey (to his disciples)
3. Fill the pitchers with water (at the wedding in Cana)
4. Go sell all you have (to the rich man)
5. Come down from the tree (said to Zaccheus)
6. Take up your cross and follow me (said to the disciples)

You see, Jesus didn't have a "witnessing" plan. He met people at their point of need. Of course, having the mind of the Lord helped a lot, but He would spend all night praying to know what the Father wanted of Him.

God bless you :-)

Here are some that are very comforting yet answer the question about who to blame with something evil happens, or when something goes wrong; and another scripture showing how God did not abandon us:

James 1: 12 - 15

Happy is the man that keeps on enduring trial, because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life, which Jehovah promised to those who continue loving him. When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

2 Peter 3: 8 - 10

"However, let this one fact not be escaping YOUR notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief..."

Heb.11:1-40;
Heb.12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Acts 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak
unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried,
and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 2:30 Therefore being
a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him,
that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would
raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 2:31 He seeing this before
spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in
hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 2:32 This Jesus hath
God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.2:33 Therefore being by
the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the
promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see
and hear.

Someone who doesn't already accept the authority of the Bible isn't going to listen to "verses." You have to demonstrate with your lifestyle, loving attitude, charity and kindness, and obedience to God that the religious lifestyle is superior to what they are living. That's what "letting your light shine before men" means. Only when they ask how to obtain the peace and love and covenant relationship with God that you have do you talk about "verses." You are to "provoke them to jealousy" with your faith.

Nothing else is going to work in this day and age. There is far too much textual criticism out there, especially on the internet, to think hitting people with "verses" is going to accomplish anything.

Proverbs 3:5
My interpretation of it--If someones path seems off, or they need direction in their life they can trust in the Lord.

People that pray for patience will be taught how to be patient. People that pray for courage, God will allow them the opportunity to be courageous... Very true. Not a verse, but heard this recently and it really sunk in...

Objective of the Preaching Work.

Mat 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Rom 15:8 For I say that Christ actually became a minister of those who are circumcised in behalf of God’s truthfulness, so as to verify the promises He made to their forefathers, 9 and that the nations might glorify God for his mercy. Just as it is written: “That is why I will openly acknowledge you among the nations and to your name I will make melody.”

Acts 26:20 but both to those in Damascus first and to those in Jerusalem, and over all the country of Ju·de´a, and to the nations I went bringing the message that they should repent and turn to God by doing works that befit repentance.

Rom 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” 14 However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach?

Ezek 3:17 “Son of man, a watchman is what I have made you to the house of Israel, and you must hear from my mouth speech and you must warn them from me. 18 When I say to someone wicked, ‘You will positively die,’ and you do not actually warn him and speak in order to warn the wicked one from his wicked way to preserve him alive, he being wicked, in his error he will die, but his blood I shall ask back from your own hand. 19 But as for you, in case you have warned someone wicked and he does not actually turn back from his wickedness and from his wicked way, he himself for his error will die; but as for you, you will have delivered your own soul.

Titus 3:5
he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
