I believe that God has a plan for EVERY child.
Our son was exposed to horrible thing while in utero and by the grace of God his b-mom and I were brought together just before she was would have made a decision that she would regret FOREVER. Like she thought, he was born with many problems and God provided her with a couple equiped to care for his needs and then some.
She has learned from her mistake and has gone on to parent her next child who was born healthy.
I feel so blessed that God (not me) gave him a chance at life and I get to be a part of that
Does anyone else feel SOOOOOO BLESSED?

You're just a bad person and God will judge you accordingly.
A child doesn't have to be born to make an impression in this world. Someday you'll see and I'll be praying for you.
If there weren't pain there couldn't be pleasure, Without sorrow there wouldn't be joy.
so YES every child had a purpose. And so do you.

I believe G-d does have a plan for everyone and I also belive everything happens for a reason. We may not figure out the reason quickly, but there seems to always be one.
I know you feel blessed, as you should....you are truly blessed. However, and more impotantly, your son sounds very blessed to have found you and your family. I have read some of your posts explainig that he has had some medical issues and for anyone to take on that responsibility is , to me, a blessing.
Your question if I feel blessed. Yes, very much so....I am.

God allows free will; we are not his puppets. If we were the place would be a much happier place. We probably all still be living in the Garden of Eden in a utopian society. Children don’t pay for the sins of their biological or adopted parents; all children are born pure and innocent. I agree with Adoptwithlove. God has a plan for all of course sometimes that plan may not go the way God wanted it, as again people have free will. I also feel everything happens for a reason. There are somethings that might be bad that happen to you but they make you a stronger person in the end. As they say out of tragedy can come something positive.
Floridagal I am sorry your son suffered and has some problems. It is always sad for me to see children that have problems because they were not cared for well enough in utero. It is great that your son got a good home with you and that his birthmother was able to turn her life around.

A plan for every child? Really?
So, let's say that a young college student gets pregnant and is convinced by a greedy adoption agency that she is not worthy to raise her child because she is a single mother. She has a beautiful, healthy baby and gives him to a married couple so that he will be raised in a husband-wife kind of family. The student goes on to get her degree and starts a successful career. She has regrets about the adoption realizing that she was emotionally scammed and could have raised her son on her own, but does her best to get on with life. Later she finds out that the couple is divorced and that both are abusive to the child because they blame him for ruining their marriage (mom is neglectful, dad hits).
So where is God's plan for this poor, lost child? Anybody help me here?

I think it is wonderful that you feel so blessed, I can't get behind the idea that God is control of all our lives, and plans for all children, because then I would also have to believe that some children are planned by God to be murdered and raped, because sadly that sometimes happens.
It is good that you can see your good fortune, but not so good that you call other people names. I think that might make God a bit cranky for you to call one of HIS creations, Julie R. "bad"
I think God blessed our earth with Julie R., I am very grateful and I will pray that God will turn your heart and lead you to judge his children with kindness, respect, and compassion.

Oh that poor woman. I am happy she has been able to overcome whatever problems she had and is able to parent a child
It must be such an enourmous loss to her and your adopted child's sibling to be separated by adoption
I'll be praying for that little family and hope they are happily reunited someday without anyone standing in their way

I don't get it - so was it God's plan to expose him to horrible things in utero so in turn his mother felt she couldn't care for him and gave him to you?

The only part God has played in my adoption "journey" is my search,...and reunion...and the adoptee rights movement!
I chose the name Gershom for a reason...exoduss: 2:22 Ever wonder why Moses names his first born child Gershom? I have been a stranger in a foreign land too.
All adoptees have.

I am so blessed though I don't feel it. I see it every day in the love God has for me. I see it every day in the provisions God has for me. I should feel it all the time, but the truth is that I don't. Perhaps one day I will be mature enough to feel what I know.

I feel very blessed in my life. Even though I've been through very difficult times in my life, God has always been there to guide me through.
I believe that God has a plan for everyone. He has also given us free will, so it is up to us if we want to follow His plan or not. The reason that there is sorrow and suffering in this world is because of sin, and not choosing the path God has intended for us.

No I don't. God doesn't micromanage children's lives. If that were the case, there would be no abuse. There would be no neglect. There would be no adoptive parents forcing young mothers to give up their children up for adoption. Don't bring religion into adoption. Humans make the decisions in adoption. Sometimes we adoptees luck out. More often than not, we don't. I as an adoptee would rather been aborted than adopted. I was born paying for the sins of my natural parents. I will pay for them for the rest of my life and they better go to heaven because of it.
I am doing God's will because he hates lies, deception, and coercion. Every time I doubt myself, a mother or an adoptee asks me to help them find or help them fight the laws that allow us to be separated.
