Looks are subject to change over time, but rarely does a personality change. If they have a bad one, they won't change. If they have a great one, go with someone who may not be a model, but has a heart of gold. I am tired of seeing people only approach people whom they deem perfect. This leaves out a whole plethora of good people who may not be perfect looking, have the perfect bod, but will stick by you through thick and thin. I never go for looks in a person, I always go for the personality. To me, a person who is beautiful inside is far more beautiful than what is outside.

Looks have a lot to do with initial attraction, however, the personality can drive someone closer, or further away. I have met people who can be really pretty(girls), or super hot(guys), yet when you talk to them or witness them in social settings, if they are jackasses, or snots, that can be a total turnoff. You have to be able to connect to someone on a more personal level. Looks are not everything. So while I am saying that personality is the ultimate factor, looks do have something too. I say both.

I say both...too easy to get attracted to others when the one you're with doesnt look that great...plus many of them dont have a lot of confidence which can affect jealousy & trust... no matter how much you love someone.....personality gives you comfort & fun being around them in any situation

well I think both matter in a relationship. You wouldn't date the hunchback of Notredame, where as you wouldn't date someone that treats you bad, but looks good.
I personally think that personallity matters and plays a big role in dating and mariage, but I also think that if you are not physically attracted to a person, you will not enjoy their company.
If both people share a smilar personality and admire each others look, they will have a strong, healthy relationship.

You know we gon say both.LOL But personality trumps looks for me anyday. And I live by that believe me.LOL But really people are attracted to looks but fall in luv with personality and if you don't have a lil of both then you just aren't for me. I just like the fact that people are blessed with both things because we girls really do need some substance in a mate. Not someone dumb as a stump.LOL

Personality is always first and foremost with me.Sure,looks are nice,but one day,the person will age and their looks may fade.This will never happen with their personality.Also,a girl could be really cute physically,but if her personality is wrong,it's a major turn off.It's about 60% personality and 40% looks(let's face it,if you want to spend your life with someone and have sex with them,there has to be some physical attraction between the two of you).I hope this helps!

It helps if the a person doesn't hurt my eyes when I perceive them. Personality, as a way to make an assessment of the person does not accurately represent the reality of a persons persona. So, I just sorta take the low road and watch for a while.

I PREFER both. when I'm looking to find a girl, I look for a girl that looks good. but when I actually find a girl, I find that I'm with her more for her personality than looks. I can't think of any reason why except the fact that I'm not as shallow as most guys.

Personality and Looks!
He doesn't have to be strikingly handsome, but at least decent looking and with a great personality!
But I don't want a handsome guy with no personality, a handsome guy with personality is AWESOME. In the middle is okay too!
Looks: "Shaggy-ish" hair or "emo-hair"(not necessarily emo himself) with a nice body(not obsese or overweight, a little chubby is okay) and eats healthy.
Personality: Great at conversations(I'm a shy girl), makes me smile, funny, loving, caring, smart, interesting, etc.

25% good looks
Everyone will eventually grow older and become less "good looking" but a good personality spans all ages and is much easier to live with in the long run.
