Length times width equal's square feet
Inches times inches divided by 144 equal's exact square feet.
However, a comfortable two car garage will depend on what you are parking in it and how much working room you need. Plan carefully rather than relying on size alone. Two cars side by side would equal 24 feet in width at a minimum comfort level with room to spare. Length would depend on Van, compact car or mid size car etc.

it depends on the the garage. Our two car garage is 22x24, but is bigger than most. Most attached garages in new construction smaller than that.

Geez.....measure the length by the width and multiply. So a 20 x 20 = 400
