Actually, yes! If the Bible became extinct, Thumpers would find some other book to worship because they are idolaters. More than likely it will be, "Coming Forth By Day" (The Book of the Dead). Every single Bible account is mentioned in Coming Forth By Day including, the story of Jesus, the Flood, The 10 commandments, etc. I forget exactly but The Book of the Dead is thousands of years older than "said" Bible.
But Perhaps they would liken Moby Dick to the story of Jonah. Lol!

Since the Bible hasn't existed in its current form for all that long, historically speaking, I doubt it.
For generations the biblical stories were passed down as an oral tradition. It's really a shame that we've gotten away from that. Families don't share Bible stories anymore the way they used to.

Seems to me they do worship the bible (but have no understanding of it what so ever), they also deny just about everything Christ taught orally . They only believe what their pastors tell them. if any of them actually read the words they would also know that not all Jesus taught is not in the bible

if you're referring to christians and the Bible, you're severely mistaken (or know some very uninformed christians). we don't worship the Bible, we worship God and His word. Actually to worship anything besides God (like a book) goes against the very first commandment.

It's God we worship, not the Bible. The Bible is his Word that guides us christians in his path.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

We don't worship a book. We worship God. We just happen to know that Gods word is the Bible. Therefore we study it and try to follow what God has given us.

Good luck, people throughout history have already tried to rid the world of the Bible...maybe you should do some research on Voltaire.

Silly boy. Christians do not worship the Bible. We follow what the Bible says because it is God's word, and when God speaks you'd better listen! :)
The Bible will never become nonexistent.
