She was just at the vet this past week and got all her regular shots and tested negative for heartworm. The first few times she threw up it was apparent she has food in her, but after that it was just white foaming mucus. Dry heaving I suppose. What is going on? I called the vet and he said to see how she does tonight, and if she doesnt gocrazy, seizures or anything then to see how she is in the morning. If she is still throwing up then to bring her in. Any ideas?

Throwing up 10 times in three hours seems excessive. I would call the vet back or call an animal hospital that is there for 24 hours and ask what they think should be done. You don't want her to become dehydrated and that is a real concern. Maybe she ingested something that is making her sick. Just to be safe, make a call. You will feel better if someone can offer you concrete advice. Don't be embarrassed to call the vet again. She is such a tiny dog that all that throwing up cannot be good.

I'm not a vet; I don't know what's wrong.
I would take her to an ER ASAP!
10 times in 3 hours is obviously NOT normal and there is clearly something wrong. I have no idea why the vet is asking you to wait all night to see how she is even after she has vomited 10 times in 3 hours. See another vet now!

Feel her stomach if its really hard take her to the vet right now. Even an emergency vet, it could be a sign of bloat which is more common in large dogs but has happened in smaller dogs as well. Or it could be a bad reaction to the shots, my dog was screwed up for three days because of it. Either way call a vet and ask for their opinion. Preferabley the one that gave her the shots.

give her some gatorade to prevent from dehydrating. she could have had reactions to the vaccines (which is common with small breeds) you really need to go to the vet tomorrow or even now if possible (emergency vet). your pup could get really dehydrated pretty fast because she is so small which will have other consequences.. try giving some pepto bismol the amount is one teaspoon per 5 pounds. if this doesnt help please go to the E. Vet.

usually when dogs are given vaccines they will be sore within 12 hours of vaccines and depending on how allergic they are depends on how long they will have vomitting and soreness. Email me if you have any more questions!

Take away her food and water bowl so she doesn't have anything stimulating her tummy to make her heave again.

Keep her quiet and resting, get to the vet first thing in the morning. If she seems really out of it? You can put a little Karo or maple syrup on her tongue for her to get some sugar so her sugar levels don't drop.

Take her to the vet no matter what tomorrow, please. Luv, Suz

try giving it water and maybe some food so that its not just heaving up that stuff or maybe it needs to get some stuff out of its system but still try the water thing and if there is food in then it probably wont hurt as much for your dog but I'm not a vet so...

take her to an emergency vet
I'm surprised your vvet didn't suggest this theer is the chance she could get severly dehydrated causing other problem. I would'nt wait until tomorrow to see if she dehydrates, goes into seizures etc as your vet suggest. after this I would be looking fo a new vet.
Good luck hope she will be ok

My dog went through this a couple months back, I brought him to the vet the next day and he ended up spending 4 days under their care. When I picked him up they told me he had eaten something he shouldn't of.
That could be it, if you give your dog stuffed toys check to make sure none of them are ripped apart.

Take her to the emergency vet. There is probably one not too far away. Your veterinarian should have referred you to them. Not seeing a vomiting dog is taking a big risk!

Good luck :>)
