It is not all men. Some of them. It depends on them. My husband is very responsible. The most responsible person I know. Both of us work and we have three children and a dog. He cooks, cleans, does laundry and everything else that you can think of. He is all for having fun but only if the responsibilities are taken care of first.

I think most men want that their whole lives - fun without responsibility. At the time they decide to be married and have children, they should be growing up and accepting the responsibility that comes with both of those.
The most cruel part is the guys know what a woman wants - comittment to a loving relationship, so they promise that they are capable of committment and loyalty, but they are not. They are committed to saying and doing whatever it takes to get what they want from any particular woman. When they have conquered that woman, they are ready to move on to the next. In fact, they may have a few waiting in the wings so they don't have to be alone for more than few days at a time.

Well, if 60 is the "new 40", then I would guess that 40 could be the "new 20"...at least for some guys.
Frankly, there are some men that never really grow up. They almost take pride in the fact that they still act like a kid. There is nothing more pathetic, in my opinion, than a 40 year old trying to act like he's not. Sort of the Homer Simpson syndrome. Sad.

Approaching my 40ties, haven't met any woman worth going through what my older brother's and dad have gone through just to have someone to not be by yourself. Not many men or women out there that know what love is anymore.

I'm over 40! Most of us men over that are into younger girls such as myself are looking for that young "thang", that hot stuff (the older you get the younger you like'em for a hot fling) and they dont think you can be commited or stay commited cuz of the generation differance. They think that one day you will cheat on them with a guy more your age cuz in most cases it seems natrual for you to do so!

No, of course not all men are like that. My husband was 38 when he got married, and he's totally wonderful.
It's all in finding a man of good character! Maybe you're just hanging around the wrong places, meeting the 'wrong' men...

Pretty much the reason, when I was in my late teens and early 20's, I was able to date so many women in their 40's. They just wanted to have fun. Im 40 now myself. Planning my midlife crisis carefully.

what country do you live in? It certainly isn't that way in the United states in general-you can't possibly have interacted with many men in their 40's.

Mandy,
I will be honest with you. I am 46 and having the time of my life. I am single, I travel the world, and have sexual relations with women where I find them. Life does not get any better than that.
