Both are equally true. Both groups think they are right about everything and blame the others for everything wrong in the world. They are blood brothers.

Neither really bears a resemblance to reality. The following is probably more true:
Calvinistic Christians are more similar to a group consisting of Catholics, Mormons, Muslims, and Pagans than to atheists.

There is no way to pick either group. I oppose lumping Catholics, Mormons, Muslims, and Pagans together.
I have more in common with Deists and Pagans. Deists believe that a god created the universe but does not intervene in natural affairs. This view was held by Thomas Jefferson, Voltaire, and numerous intellectuals that aided the European Enlightenment. I think there is no way to justify war, torture, medical trauma, and mass murder in the world under the belief that a benevolent god exists: It either doesn't exist, or doesn't influence nature.
I also have a lot in common with Pagans. They were the first group to be tortured and killed once Christianity became the official religion in the Roman empire, around the 3rd century A.D. We have both dealt with the problems of religious fanaticism.

neither is correct. atheists are equally comparable to any of those religious groups. they are no more similar to calvinists than they are to catholics et alia.
the evidence is that atheists don't believe in any god, and all those other groups do believe in god. although beliefs vary, belief in god is either yes or no, off or off, there are not degrees.

I was raised a Calvinistic Christian.
EDIT
My point is you are stereotyping people. Just as Christians come from many different backgrounds, atheist, pagans, Catholics, Hindus, Buddhist, and other come from many different backgrounds.
Stop trying to pigeon hole people into "types" and "groups." It doesn't always work.

Neither statement is correct since Atheists do not believe in the existence of a Supreme being. They are logical, rational, open-minded and above all understanding. :)

Calvinism is a theological system and an approach to the Christian life that emphasizes the rule of God over all things.[1] Named after John Calvin, this variety of Protestant Christianity is sometimes called the Reformed tradition, the Reformed faith, or Reformed theology.[2]
I'd say the first statement is correct. Calvinists seem a bit more centered on God than any of the others, almost to an extremist point themselves.

Neither. I do not identify with any of the above mentioned.
Calvinism leaves no room for man to add to his salvation. God has everything to do with it. It is completely in God's hands, including the formation of your beliefs. According to Calvinism I am an Atheist because God wanted me to be. So basically there is no free will.
As I said I don't identify with any.

I'd have to say the first one, but neither of them are very good choices. Calvinists and atheists are very very different, which is what keeps me from saying the second one.

Agnostics. Why? Agnostics ascribe to no belief in a god because it has not been proven to them but are open for accepting belief in a god if it can be proven to them. In other words they say, "I can't say if god exists or not. I've never met him seen him, experienced him." Atheist may be a little more emotional and even "religious" about their Atheistic beliefs. They have causes, movements, organizations all for the purpose of disproving a god to others who believe. Agnostics don't give a fat flying f*ck on the back of a rat's a*s! Lol!
