I'm going in for this procedure, but the area will be numbed with a local anesthesia. I'll be in and out in about a hour. Is this considered a surgery?

There would be cutting involved. Most of my surgerys wouldn't including sewing because they have to heal from the inside out to help prevent infection. So it would be cut and just bandaged over.

Yes, but it sounds like just a small outpatient procedure,
if it has to do with inserting any materials into or right under the skin, you may have 2-3 very small stitches you will be able to remove on your own around 7-10 days.
hope all goes well!

Injection involves needle prick . So it`s surgery even if nothing else is done.
Surgery literally means treatment with an instrument or appliance.

You haven't said whether there is any cutting or sewing happening....but if there is, then it sure is surgery regardless of how long it takes and if you're awake or not.

Hope it's not too serious....
