i give bad interviews and my social skills are horrible as well

depends on what kinda job you are lookin in2. i mean sum employers are lookin for quite/ nice/ calm people. while others are want loud people who do a lot of talking. shyness is a gift :)

I could see how being shy might be a disadvantage if you are interviewing for jobs that require a lot of contact with the public or good customer service. If you have trouble just looking people in the eye when you speak that could hurt you during interviews also. Maybe you could try applying for jobs that don't require a lot of interaction with the public face to face. What about a call center. At least in that type of environment you are only interacting with one person at a time and you do not have to look at them during the interaction.
