Lizzie...I watched the interviews today also & he's going to just be himself. Nothing wrong with that!!! I liked how he was more personable towards the contestants than Bob was. I like that. Heard he's engaged now!!!

I thought he was great for his first episode. Although you could see he was nervous, he still did a very well job.
There are some people who try to compare him to Bob Barker, but you can't do that. If Drew tried to run the show like Bob Barker, he would surely fail miserably. But he ran it his way, and it was great! Just tune in more, he'll grow on everyone.

I'm so glad that Drew Carey is being himself and not trying to live up to Bob's name. Nobody could do that. But I thought the game was a little bit much with everybody just happening to win every single game. That was weird to me. Especially on the first show.

I missed up until right after the first Showcase Showdown.
Based on the part I saw, I like that he's not trying to run the show the same way as Bob did. But, I still miss how Bob ran the show.

I thought he looked a little "stiff." But,it looked like he was having a good time and he touched and hugged the contestants. Bob kind of shied away from them.
Drew said he really likes this "job." So, perhaps as the shows go on, he becomes more comfortable.
He has mentioned in interviews that he was going to try it his way. He can't replace Bob Barker and doesn't want to really do that. So, we'll see.

i liked it. i can tell there is still some work to be done. some things that he changed worked really well and some didn't but you have to learn and grow. Bob had 35 years to get it to perfection.
I loved how there seemed to be more of an energy and craziness with the contestants running up to the cars before they even win them and doing front flips on stage.
and they seem to have more of a mix of people on the show now that all of the people that were eager to get on the show before bob left aren't there now.

He will get better. All he has done is stand up and television shows. This is a whole new experience for him.
I think IF CBS keeps him, he will get better. It took Barker years to become as lovable as he became.
