how long can i keep naproxen 500 mg before disgarding them?

they were prescribe 10/10/06 are they safe to take

If you still have the expiration date, they should still be good for 2 years past that. If not, it's safest to assume two years past the prescription date (so 10/10/08) is when you should throw them out.

it all depends on how you have had them stored. were they ever out of their bottle? if they were sealed, then they won't lose their potency.
