I am trying to live my life clean and just and obedient... I try really hard... I don't always win the battle although my sins may be quite small in someone else's eye's... Sin is sin... And I fall short daily...

WHY is it when I try so HARD to do all that is just and true and correct, I get pushed down by some sort of action of others or just life in general?

Does it mean God is rejecting me? I don't really believe that but sometimes it feels a bit confusing...

Insight? If so it is welcome .....

EDITED TO "Bad Liberal tm"
My words I spoke to you must have made an impact on your heart, as you deleted your hurtful words... Glad to see you do have a heart... See God knows you do... Believe as you may what you will.. And don't worry, the tears didn't last long. Your words of redicule gave helped me to find what I was looking for... The scripture I quoted was really beautiful... Life is about love... Ask your self how do you , are you able to carry out that feeling? Sometimes those who bite at us, are the ones who make us think beyond what our norm is... Thanks to all of you for the kindness and hope through God.. Best answer is not just in this case... Thanks everyone....

Your question was most reassuring-I thought I was one of the only ones feeling this way. God's not rejecting us. no way! The Apostle Paul had his own doubts along the same lines. He was frustrated trying to live an honorable life in a sinful world. Keep up the good fight, the end results are worth it! Sorry I can't quote chapter and verse on that, some other respondents probably have it handy. God bless!

God isn't rejecting you.
These things don't happen over night.
You live as good and decent a life as you can. If you are really trying to be a good person, living an honest and happy life, it goes a long way.
We are all humans and sinners. Nobody is perfect.
If you feel like you have failed God on any given day why not perform a small sacrifice for God? "OK I really want to go out to movies tonight but instead I think Ill sacrifice that to God and stay home)
It makes me feel so much closer to God and makes me a much happier man.
Still a sinner, but I am trying and I am an extremely HAPPY man!

We all sin daily. Even if it's just a passing sinful thought.

You may find that Satan, not God, is putting grief on you because of the effort you're making to live a better life and have a closer walk with God.

Keep praying & stay on the path you're on. God will help you in this fight. I've found it myself. I've also found that my life is the easiest when I'm being LESS conscious of sin. I guess the Devil leaves you alone when he knows he already has you !

Hang in there & God Bless !

My friend,

You said that when you do something good, you are being pushed down. Life is a constant ups and downs. May this simple act push you up. Thank you so much for trying your very best to live a clean and just life. Thank you for hating sin. Thank you for choosing God!

I will bet my eternal life that God is not rejecting you but loving you more!

St. Teresa of Avila, whose feast day is today (Oct. 15) has said, "Oh, my Lord! How true it is that whoever works for you is paid in troubles! And what a precious price to those who love you if we understand its value."

My prayers are with you!

Well we don't lose our sinful nature when we become Christians. We're always going to be subjected to temptations inherent in the flesh.

Paul writes, " I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want." Gal 5:16,17

Paul describes his own struggle in Romans 7.

We all fall short off the glory of God that's why he gave us Jesus that we might be made righteous through Christ. The bible tell us to PRESS toward the high calling of Christ, the word press indicates not only action but force, life is a struggle and God is well aware so just keep pressing on.

Good job in trying to live faithfully to the Lord. Don't worry everyone stumbles and falls short of the glory of God sometime on their spiritual journey. Thats why he sent his Son so that we can be forgiven for our sins. I will pray for you to be able to stay strong. May God bless and keep you.

Rejoice for you are still tempted! You know when time comes that you don't feel your committing sins it is more likely that "the evil" has gotten you and he does not need to tempt you anymore. Don't feel frustrated that you fall, we all do, the important thing is we rise each time we fall and learn from every mistake we make. OK?

God understands the struggles you go through and he is happy that you continue to fight for what is good and to try to obey his will. He understands that it is difficult. God isn't rejecting you, he's testing you to find your purity. As long as you continue to follow His will then you'll be fine :)

Generally younger people sin more.

1. More oppurtunity.

2. Less developed sense of judgement,

3. The forced social arrangment called "school" which surrounds you by people whom you would not surround yourself with in adult life.

4. Because when one is still living with their father and mother they have more oppurtunity to dishonor them.
