I am not able to work for which my wife (ex-wife) decided she didn't want to be with me anymore because of that. When she left me she left the kids. I dont mind cause my kids are everything to me. But sense I am not able to work I cant afford everything. Now im in a bind were i can lose my kids if i dont get some kind of help. I went to many government places and they just dont have any funding but i see single mothers walking in after me and they get help. Im not asking for alot, I just dont want to lose my kids. I will be nothing and have nothing without them. I only get $388 a month from FSD to pay bills and in no way is it enough. I signed up for disablity and still not approved yet. If i dont get these bills paid soon i will lose my kids when they get shut off. I will give any proof to show i am tell nothing but the truth. I just need a little financial Help. Please.

If she left, why doesn't she have to pay you child support? You should go after her for child support. What type of work did you do before and what type of injuries do you have? Call your utilitiy companies and ask for payment plans. Often they will work with you if you have been a good customer int he past. Try to get food stamps. Sign up for free and reduced lunches at your kids school. Whatever you do, do not ask for handouts. People do not respect a bum and are less likely to assist you. Secondly, get rid of the internet. If you are paying that to be on here, then that is money being wasted. I know when I worked at the YMCA, one of the criteria we asked for reduced tuition was if they had cable, they were automatically disqualified. They felt if you can spend $30 a month or more for cable, then that is $30 that can go to your kids. If you have a home phone, cut it off and only use the cell. There are ways to penny pinch. All you can do is the best you can do.

First of all, check with your minister to see if the church or a group of churches can give you some temporary help.

Next, go to legal aid and start the process of making your dead-beat wife get off her sorry butt and make her pay child support, and back child support.

Also get your attorney to look into the disability claim to see if it can be speeded up.

Then apply for Aid to Families with Dependent Children. You might as well get Legal Aid's assistance with this as well.

Good Luck.

You need to open your big fat phone book and go to the blue pages. The blue pages list a lot of government agencies who may be able to direct you. Start making some phone calls and request all the help you can. Also, do as much as you can in writing and email. It's very fast and effective.

You also might have to take your kids to a shelter for meals. All towns have shelters.

at the start, you may desire to get the exwife to pay toddler help. If she isn't working or paying toddler help she could be. i might advise going on your community criminal amenities enterprise and discussing hat with them. Why are you no longer eligible for advice? i'm at a loss for words. Your gender could have 0 touching on that. have you ever surely been threatened by utilising everyone which you will lose the youngsters? incapacity can take as much as a 365 days to come again in and that i'm hoping you have an lawyer for that via fact in case you get denied you will desire the help.

Well its not easy. I have 3 of my own and single. I do what ever I can to survive because I cant even think about losing my kids. Go to DHS, churches, family, friends, courts to get child support. Take my advise and get somthing started incase somthing happens soon. DHS is not bad like some think. I went there voluntary and I got more help then ever but you have to ask yourself whats best for the kids and if you can make the commitment to yourself and your kids to fight and get threw this and not give up.

You are entitled to food stamps for them, and health care for them. I would SERIOUSLY suggest you contact the local "Legal Aid" and ask to speak to a lawyer. Contact all the churches in your area too. Speak to all their teachers and the principals at their schools. You need to speak to a "father's rights" lawyer ideally. If you go to www.yahoogroups.com there are ongoing discussion groups about everything and I bet there is something there for father's rights where men in your own shoes can give you advise. Very few people have money to send to others. This is just a fact. So don't wait for that to happen. I will pray for you. Please don't give up hope. Pray for your children. And pray for yourself. ps there are places that give out free food too, usually out of churches. And some churches have free thrift shops or know of them where you can get free used clothing. See if your county has a dept of childrens. I am sure you have done alot of this. If you are being rejected, you need to get a lawyer.

well...
if this was my situation i would first of pray.
DOG- depend on God!
secondly have you thought of maybe starting a business where you can work out of your home? maybe bookkeeping or something less strenuous for your body?
and i know this doesnt sound good but maybe you have some items that you would consider selling to like a pawn shop or something? just to get extra cash. Oh and another good business is selling food. I dont know if you are much of a cook haha lots of people will pay for someone to make them meals, if you are interested.
hope i helped

Unfortunately, if you are disabled to the point you can't provide for your children, they might have to take them. Their safety is important. I hope you can figure something out thats a better option.

If you think its some kind of sex discrimination for government aid, get a lawyer and sue the government... but wait if you sue the government, thats like taking money from all the taxpayers, which is me and many other people! So, don't sue. I really cant imagine that the ladies who walked in after you get aid simply because they are women.

I would file for finacial hardship at your utility place.... your disabiliy comes through you'll be alot better off...you may even get denied the first time..but appeal RIGHT AWAY....until then... you'll be on the worlds tightest budget even if you end up needing something....liek shoes or clothes for the kids....try freecycle.org first...or craigs list....also check out the salvation army..they often have help....and local food pantries and community meals....

Try looking into doing some sort of job from home. or so you don't have to more much. There are many handicap people with jobs. Just look around for that.
