I have a bad ankle, I've hurt it a few times, but have never bothored to have it looked at.
Anyway...Today I was walking down stairs, and my ankle rolled. I stepped down on it and put all of my weight on it.I heard a pop.

Like I said I have had this sort of thing happen a few times, but never has it popped like that.
Right now it is a little swollen around my ankle. A little bruised...but not bad. It hurts to put too much weight on it. I can limp around though. It hurts from my ankle up to about mid calf.

What did I do exactly, and should I see a Dr.?

You should probably go see the doctor. The popping just doesn't sound good. But if you still arn't going to at least rest it elevate it wrap it tight not so tight you dont have circulation but just tight enough and put heat on it for the first 24 hrs then after that time put ice on it and if the starts hurting again go back to putting heat on it for another 24 hrs.

You did not state what type of shoe your were wearing so I will guess a high heel? It could be that you are rolling your feet when you walk and if so this will catch up with you later in life. I would see a Doc just to be on the safe side.
