"Pit Bulls" aren't mean at all, unless they're taught that it's acceptable to be that way. They're naturally overgrown lap puppies that want nothing but to attack you WITH KISSES.

Any dog can be mean....it's not something that's ''breed specific''.

Mean Pit Bull? I have two. One is a four month old puppy so of course she is cute and everyone loves puppies.
The other is four years old. She is nothing but a rock hard bunch of muscle with a big head and bulging jaws. Scary to look at, but mean? She is the most lovable dog in the world. The only way she would do any damage would be by licking your skin off.
The only time my older Pit showed being mean was when my grandson brought home the new puppy. She growled and snapped at the puppy. It only took my grandson a couple of hours to teach her that it was not the right thing to do. They are best buddy's now. They play together all the time, a 55 lb and a 25 lb. Pretty funny.
Oh, I have two more that get in the mix, a 20 lb Chi/Rat Terrier and a overgrown 35 lb Beagle. So it is four dogs running through the house grabbing ears, legs and barking. They play a bit rough but they don't hurt each other.

Any breed that hasn't been socialized enough or has been taught to be "mean" will be "mean" and aggressive. It's not always Pitbulls. It's because idiots don't know how to care for a dog properly and couldn't care less where they get the dog from. It's all the owners and the breeders fault if a dog is aggressive and "mean".

Funny how nobody mentions the aggressive Labrador down the street that's always barking at people walking by. It's always the aggressive Pitbull that barks and growls at people.

Why are humans mean at times???? I am around 31 Pit Bulls and that is between family and friends dogs and they are the least meanest of the dogs in our group. My Lab can be mean at times, any dog can be mean at times. Humans are the most guilty of the mean area.

They're not.

False statement: pit bulls are mean.
True statement: people are ignorant.
