Sometimes when people don't drink enough water they try to get the water from food. Drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. Eat a good healthy breakfast. That will set you right for the day. Exercise. I recommend exercise class at a swimming pool. Don't get stressed out, be happy and have a hobby. Get your focus off from food. All my chubby friends drink a lot of soda and use a lot of black pepper and other spices. I wish you well and hope it works for you. Don't over do it on dieting or water. Mmm

First you need to chill out!!! 9 pounds by Thanksgiving isn't gonna happen unless you stop eating all together.
This might sound a little harsh, and I know you're just a kid, but here's the reality.
You have to WANT to lose weight. You have to put forth the EFFORT and not QUIT. Forget the word DIET also.
You need to adopt a healthy meal plan. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegatables, fish, and white meats. Stay away from the fried foods and butter. I know alot of veggies, even canned don't taste the greatest plain, so have your mom buy you something called ACCENT in the spice aisle. I use it on everything, except fruit, and it boosts the flavor. EXERCISE!!!! Research even proves you can break it up if you can't fit it all together. Walking is the best way, because it's free and easy to stick to. You need to burn at least 500 calories per day to lose one pound per week. Any more, and you will put you body in to starvation mode, and you could actually GAIN weight. One mile = 100 calories. If you can't BURN 500 calories a day, try restriction a.k.a. eating less than your body needs. Your body need 1700 calories a day to MAINTAIN your weight WITHOUT exercise. Aim for eating around 1450 calories a day, and burning the other 250 through exercise by walking 2.5 miles a day.
STICK WITH THIS!!!! YOU WILL SEE RESULTS!!!!!!!

3 pounds,9 pounds. Thats an insignificant amount of weight, whether it be over or under the weight you're supposed to be.So long as you are not 15+ pounds overweight, than you start to experience health effects, now and long-term. I think that that is terrible that your parents wont bring home healthy food. They should be teaching you an example by eating healthy foods themselves. Talk to your parents about it. Tell them that they can be unhealthy, and have a heart attack at 60, but you would like to be healthy and live a long life, however they are the only people who can provide you that opportunity. If they still dont do anything, than you need to speak with someone, because I think that could be considered neglect. I'm not saying you should try and get your parents in trouble with the law or anything; I'm just saying that you should be allowed to eat healthy if you want to, and your parents are not allowing you to do so. If you dont want to do all that, eat what you can find that is sort of healthy. Everything is healthy in moderation. A snikers bar is healthy if you eat ONE and then only eat like another 400 calories the rest of the day. As far as fats, look for stuff with little to no saturated, trans, polysaturated fat. Look for poly/mono UNsaturated fat. Those fats are good for you, of course in moderation. Your diet should consist of 10-20 percent fat. Eat any and all fruit and veggies you can. As far as protein eat chicken, and fish, nothing else. Steak, pork, bacon etc are terrible for you. Seafood is the BEST protein for you.As far as carbs, it doesnt matter really. Carbs are one of the most important nutrients. Stay away from anything potatoes, or fried. Good luck!

It's healthy to lose 1 lb a week, no more. If you crash diet, you will fail. Try eating smaller portions and make sure you eat leafy greens. Also take a walk or go for a run instead of sitting in front of the computer. That wasn't meant as an insult, it's just that when you are at the computer or in front of the tv, people tend to eat more without realizing how much they have consumed. Try eating Smart ones meals, they are really good and filling. But the main thing is to stay active.

First you have to say that you HAVE CONTROL over what you put in your mouth!! If you say you can't control yourself, the game is over and you've lost!
There is no magic pill, no magic potion. Eating less and exercising more. That's it, hon!!! Exercising more, maybe 30 minutes every day will help at least cancel out some of that junk food you eat.
Maybe start eating some baby carrots once a day. Then incorporating a piece of fruit, too. You need vitamins and minerals, a well balanced diet at your age.

You have to tell them that you're serious with your dieting. Perhaps they don't give a serious thought on your goal of losing weight because you still eat fatty food. Although you're young, you've got to practice some self-discipline if you really want to achieve your goal. A great work out, perfect diet tips and lots of patience can help you gain the lean and slimmer you.

Ask if you could do the food shopping? Or you could ask them to get the healthy fast food choices, like the salads or something. Maybe just eat less of the food. Try to drink a lot of water with the food to make you less hungry when you eat. Also, make sure you exercise in order to burn off the extra calories.

go to the grocery store with your parents and pick out healthy snacks like carrots, apples, special k bars, flavored rice cakes, etc. You don't need to diet, just choose healthy foods over fattening foods, get yourself into the habit of exercising. you can go for a jog 3-4 times a week. make sure you drink a LOT of water, that will fill your tummy up and keep your metabolism up. same with sleep, get plenty of it! Make healthy choices and you will be fine! and hunny, your weight is not alarming, so don't get down on yourself!

sweetie
you're not heavy
but I do understand your dilemma
btw your doctor is very insensitive and demeaning..I don't really care for him telling young people that they are going to be overweight if they gain just 3 more pounds...especially at your weight and height...............
anywho........just try to eat less of what they are bringing in the home and do drink some water every once in a while in between bites.....they should understand that you, like everyone else, does need a healthy diet to develop a healthy pattern of eating....take care and good luck....
