Some "Christians" on this forum believe that those from their own sect are the only "true" Christians.

If anyone wants to find out the truth about the mormons as I did, read the Book of Mormon. I am not a Mormon, I am not in any religion, but I do believe that Jesus came to more than one group in another country, after reading it. If Mormons believe in Jesus, as they do, then they are Christians. Anyway, that is not the point. Why worry about who does or who does not believe in you, the Mormons. Go on with doing good works, loving, comppasionate, honest, forgiving, etc. which is what your religion also teaches. However, realize that as in every other religion, not every member of a congregation is living as they should be. Some are trying and some are pretending. As my ex was, who was a Mormon.
I think many Mormons are family oriented who, who do their best of being good people
I wish I could see more black people in their beautiful choir, like the time that black people were first let into the priesthood.
Peace and LOve,

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Normally I would lump all of the Abrahamic religions all together but the Mormons really push the envelope (even more than an Arab warrior for peace who was illiterate but a wealthy businessman, spoke his holy book in non-rhyming, non-scanning, non-musical poetry/song, but still claimed to be illiterate).
The Mormons are not a mono-theistic religion, they believe that the Trinity is 3 separate beings not one.
Their founder was a criminal on the run.
He claimed to have Egyptian writings from Moses that he found in North America, that he never showed to anyone, and that he translated by faith decades before the Rosetta Stone was understood.
Good luck. Enjoy your faith. Stop trying to include it with other religions that are VERY different.

Non-mormon Christians believe the Jesus was the one and only son of God. Not A son of God and not the brother of Lucifer. Jesus' death is the ONLY thing that can buy your ticket to heaven, not two years as a missionary or wearing secret underwear or any temple ritual. Your leadership will tell you that our Jesus and your Jesus are not the same person. The last verses of Revelation also say that there is no more to write and that no one, under penalty of curse, should add any more to the scripture. We believe Mormons have added to the scripture. Hope that helps.

We are taught to judge righteously, and to test every spirit. We cannot look at someones teachings and say that we are not to judge whether they are right or wrong. Otherwise we could not say that what Hitler did was evil.
So we must see what the Mormon church teaches about Christ. They teach that He is the spirit brother of Lucifer.
They teach that we can become gods, the same thing that Satan told Eve she would become.

I find it interesting in a religion that preaches not to judge lest ye be judged, that we have so much condemnation and judgment for the other religions of the world.
I was very close to someone who taught religions of the world and if you can get past the hypocrisy of it all, you'll find that most of the worldly religions have some very similar basis.
Furthermore, the only difference between most of the christian faiths is which part(s) of the bible to enforce and which ones not to. Read past the words and listen to Jesus's meanings and you too can find peace in all religions and beliefs.
I also find it VERY interesting that instead of answering your question, so many are quick to condemn you for misspelling... not exactly the root of your quandary and funny how we all really know what you meant anyway.
Peace be with you in whatever way you travel.

I dont doubt I guess that you personally are a christian who loves Jesus. It is the mormon faith and joseph smith who are in error, and it is a false religion, it does not teach the truth, it may have some truths but the religion is wrong. you need to seek a more fullness of truth, does your church not let you seek for truth outside itself? you should for your own sake.

It's doctrinal:
1) The Bible says Jesus is God. Mormons don't believe this
2) The Bible says salvation is by grace through faith without any works. The Mormons teach a false gospel of works.

Because you can't spell Christian in the first place. And you believe so many extra things that are not anywere in the Bible. I have cousins who are Mormon and we have discussed it alot and i still say that Mormonism is a cult, a large over publicised cult.

Because you didn't come along until 1,800 years after Christ, whereas we Christians had been worshipping him all that time. At that late date, you started telling us what God is, and what Christ is, and it was very different from what we already knew. Therefore, different God, different Christ, different Gospel. Ergo, not Christians. It's that simple. No great mystery.
