How do you figure out how to convert years BC to how long ago?

e.i.3500bce is really 5,507 years ago fom the present

Add the current year (2007) to the b.c. year (3500) and that is how long ago it was. So, yes, it was 5,507 year ago.

Yes we are in the year 2007 ad (after Christ)
So 3500 BC(Before christ ) + 2007 = 5507.

Did you know the mathmeticians got it wrong and Christ was actually born about 4BC.
