Let's say someone is shooting down your religion and spreading lies about it online. You try to tell them politely that what they're saying is not true, and ask them to leave this religios group alone. They simply cuss you out and tell you your religious leaders are lying. They know much more about the religion because they were a member of it for twice as long as you, then left claiming to have found out"the truth". Although this doesn't change your opinion on your religion, it makes you mad about being so flippantly insulted. What would you do?

Pray for them. You've done what you can and it's out of your hands. Walk away.

If you are walking in the truth, you should be at peace knowing the truth will always remain- no matter what anyone says or does.
People will always be this way--- I know that Jesus Christ is the only way, truth and life (John 14:6) When someone makes christanity look bad, it is sad, but I still know that no matter what they do, the truth will always remain! Man cannot change the truth, no matter how hard they try....they can get people not to believe, but who is more powerful, man or God?
God is the one who opens the eyes of sinners, through the hearing of His word- the gospel of Jesus Christ. Knowing that has always brought me great peace and JOY! No one can ever bring down God....they may try, and they may make many christians feel useless, BUT we who are saved should know that we have the victory through Jesus Christ! I do not know what you believe---but I can tell you from what I know and believe, no man can ever change the truth.
1 Peter 1:25
but the word of the Lord remains forever."And this word is the good news that was preached to you.

You have done what you can, now leave that person, maybe you could pray for them. Then go on to the next person. Forget about what is said about your religion on here. Just use it as a place to pick and choose some good information from and leave the rest. What matters is your relationship with God, nobody can take that away from you. Use this as a place to learn about others beliefs and that's all. Who really cares what others think of you or your religion. GOD BLESS & GOOD LUCK!!

That has happened to me before. It got on my nerves a lot. The person just wouldn't stop. Well then i finally got frustrated and said I'm going to make you a visit. So the person thought I was lying (which i was) and kept on spreading rumours. So i had to actually go there and stop this. It turns out that the person was actually an 11 year old boy. That is the problem. Why don't parents take care of their little rascist kids? It angers me. Why am I talking like an old person??

Making preposterous claims, and holding preposterous beliefs without one iota of empirical data to support the places people in the unenviable position of being looked upon with disdain and pity ( at the same time) by those who know better...

I would review the facts and question whether those people who left your religion might not be right about your religious leaders lying. It's a common recurrence in all religions.

In Christianity persecution from others is expected and par for the course, I just take it as part of the ignorance of those who are ignorant. You know the truth why care what others believe.

If it genuinely caused me anger (which is the most damaging emotion you can hold) I would stop going on Y?A! or at least block the person spreading lies. You will not change their mind and anyone with half a brain will be able to see through their lies anyways. If enough people ignored these people, they would get bored and go away.

I would search the scriptures to find the truth for myself.
If people are saying the religious leaders are lying, then check it out for yourself. But ultimately you must take it to God in prayer.

I know that must be tough, every single religion out there goes through this, its not much we can do as people, only educate them and if they dont listen. They just dont. I can tell this world is going to get worst tho. and sometimes us as people got to see why others feel that way tho cause sometimes there maybe something you dont know abt and if it is not then i dont know what to say. i think people should have the right to believe whatever it is that they want to believe.

I can get angry, but I wouldn't tell them to l;eave this religious group alone if it was here that was being done at. On my page, I gt to say what I want, and judge what I want, but here, it is not my page.

I therefore see people as another rightfully expressing their opinion. Something that Muslims don't seem to like very much, but that is their problem. That was an example.
