My 10 year old son had a stomach infection, and was treated with antibiotics. Now that he's better, my young 4 years old daughter is having stomach pain just like his. It gets better, and then few minutes later she's having pain again. I was just wondering, does she need antibiotics to get better? Or can she get better without antibiotics, and take time to rest?

You should absolutely take her to a doctor, but should ask the doctor about alternative treatments. Children are permanently harmed and even die when seemingly minor infections are left untreated.

If cost is an issue, you can take her to a free clinic, or you can ask your doctor's office about need-based discounts.

Your daughter will be in pain unless she gets the drugs, and although it's possible nothing bad will happen, you would never forgive yourself if it did.
