It is a work of fiction. That is why it is in the fiction section of book stores. Dan Brown has never claimed it was not fiction.
I thought it was a good book, but I am a sucker for the Fibbonacci Sequence.

No
I enjoyed the book.It is fiction but very exciting as a book and following the adventure of it all.I cannot see how it would work in film and have heard the film is poor but would like to see it for myself.I found myself rooting for the hero and hoping he would learn all and survive. As a book its great and worth reading.
Seems quite funny that its become such a contentious book as it is a simple adventure to be enjoyed and that is all it is.
I must have read it a couple of years ago.
I really felt for the characters so it must be a good book.

there is no da vinci code... the whole idea of a "code" was just da vinci's way of expressing his opinions of religion and politics in his works

I think it serves a purpose to get us to think.
I know I won't be agreed with, BUT... the bible was written by man based on his understanding of His teachings. I think that there is an uproar within a number of religions because it doesn't subscribe to the doctrine that says that everything in the Bible is word for word fact. We must look behind the words to get the meaning.

It is a work of fiction. However, there are certainly pieces of it that could be very true. For example: it is very likely that Jesus has a living decendant(s), seeing that it would be very unlikely that at the time a man wouldn't get married and have children.

its a work of fiction. Like animorphs. Do you believe in a child changing into a giraffe and fighting aliens. It's as craisy as that.

It's fiction. Even the supposed historical background the author claims is all accurate is fiction.

Nope. It is filled with errors. Dan Brown could not even get the names and directions of the streets right.
