What on Earth are you talking about John Paul? Nissan Fairlady Z is NOT an Infiniti G35 badged Nissan Fairlady sold in Japan. The newest Nissan Fairlady Z is the Nissan 350Z sold in Japan. Period. It is the Fifth Generation Z car (Z33). It is STILL a 2 seater in Japan, offered as a coupe and as a roadster, and will likely NEVER be a 2+2. It is an FR layout on the Nissan FM platform. The Infiniti G35 and the 350Z are both FR layout on the FM platform and both use the popular VQ35 engine, and have visual similarities, but the Infiniti G35's counterpart is the Nissan Skyline in Japan.

Our Z cars here in the U.S. have always been called the Fairlady in Japan. Here's the power specs over the years of the 5th gen Z, and these are for both the 350Z sold here in the States, and the Fairlady sold in Japan.

2003-2004
3.5 L VQ35DE V6 287 hp (214 kW) 274 ft·lbf (371 N·m)

2005-2006
3.5 L VQ35DE RevUp V6 300 hp (220 kW) 260 ft·lbf (353 N·m)

2007-present
3.5 L VQ35HR V6 306 hp (228 kW) 268 ft·lbf (363 N·m)

And I don't know how many times this needs to be clarified - the Infiniti G35 Coupe is a Nissan Skyline Coupe in Japan & the Infiniti G35 Sedan is a Nissan Skyline Sedan in Japan. How is that so hard to understand? For some reason whenever you say Skyline, people think R34 or even R33 or R32. There IS a new model Skyline in Japan (AFTER the R34), and HAS been since the G35 was released in the states. They are almost identical, they have looked the same, they have had the same VQ35, and same FM platform. Infiniti's interior has always been slightly different though. And with the new G37 coupe and sedan? Wow, there's even a new model Skyline that looks the same as them.

I don't mean to get irate about it, but even though the newest model V-series Skyline is frowned upon by Japanese tuners and does not have a GTR version and apparently isn't well known by even American Nissan Techs - it IS a Skyline. Just look at their lineup in Japan.

Fair-lady 350z is a Infinity G-35 Badged Nissan Fair-Lady with a small back seat and sold in Japan. Japan law all cars must carry 4 people. You might need double amputees small children to sit in that back seat. USA 350Z is a actual coupe no back seat.
