Alright, so I've been thinking about proposing to my girlfriend. I just want an idea from anyone (even men) what would be though of as romantic to some of you. I'm not really good at that kind of stuff, but I want it to be special. Nothing really expensive, though.

If you need some information about her, then here. Your ideas in no way have to be related to her likes and dislikes, though:
She and I have a child together, who is just a few months old
Grew up Christian and is still a believer, going to church and etc.
Doing the whole proposal at a sporting event won't work, because since I had gotten a broken leg a year ago playing football, she said she wouldn't go to watch sports again.
She loves spontaneity, i.e. driving to random places, and, well, OK that one is pretty self-explanatory
Likes video games, not as much as I do, but she does work at a GameStop
Hometown is Philadelphia

...Those probably don't help much. Thanks to any answers given!!

Don't worry about doing anything fancy or clever. The best proposals are the ones that come from the heart. Don't involve your child- no offense to the previous poster- because this should be between the two of you only. Take her someplace nice, someplace that has meaning for both of you, if you can, and look her in the eyes and tell her how much you love her, and that the best thing that could ever happen to you is if she agreed to spend the rest of her life with you. Get on the knee, and hold out the ring.

It's classic, but it works. I am so glad my husband didn't get too creative when he proposed to me. The most important thing to me was the look in his eye and the words that he spoke. One of the best nights of my life! He took me to Atlantic City- the site of our first date- and proposed to me on the boardwalk before dinner. It was October, so there were few people out there. Then we talked all during dinner about how excited we were and what a great life we were going to share.

Good luck!!

My Fiance proposed to me in the rose garden in front of the Cinderella Castle at Disney World. That was amazingly romantic!

But if you are looking for something simple... let's see... Did you see "A Walk To Remember"? He got a star named after her, that would be a romantic thing to do.

Or even a picnic, but don't put the ring in food or her drink- that usually doesn't go well.

Some popsicle sticks have a riddle, or something written on them. You can get one specially made, and have the big question written on the popsicle stick. That way, when she gets done eating the popsicle, she will see the question. You may even want to use their name. Have flowers ready!
it would probably say her name and will you marry me?
it sounds really cute

Do you have anything that you love extremely much, and she knows how much you love it?

My dad had this corvette (back in the day, lol), and one day at the boardwalk he asked my mom "You know how much I love my corvette, right?" and she said "yes", and he said "well, i love you more," and then he brought out the ring, popped the question, and the rest is history. I though that was pretty cute myself.

Involve the child! One of my friends had a special shirt made for their child--said "Daddy's got a question". She turned around and there was daddy on his knee. It was such a cute story.
