It has been over three years I had this roommate.I am not sure if she is bipolar or just crazy, but a year after I moved away, she started calling me and left 10 messages saying that she has lost her shoes and 3-4 shirts, which she believed I have so I must return it or else she will file a police report. So, I told her I don't have it and I think she find them herself, she came back apologizing to me etc for her behavior. In between, she send me emails asking and telling about her well being like nothing ever happened. I was not too responsive to her. Now 3 years after she again sent me emails with the list of things (4-5 piece of clothes eg shirt skirt etc) she has been missing which totals 500 dollars. She again told me she will file a police report if I did not return it. I never had her stuff, but i truely feel harrased/humiliated. I am sick/tired of her up/down behavior and her threatening. I am not scarred but just don't want to deal with her. What should I do? Or what can she do?

I send her an email back stating again I never had any of her belongings in my premises so stop harrasing me. Before I could blckc her email, she send me two more harrasing emails almost threatening....how she/police'd go to my relaives, friends against my criminal offense, she'd not spare me etc etc. Another email few minutes after the first one, stating it was not hard to find my home/work address(God knows what she can do...hope he won't physically become violent with me) and she is going to small court for this. What do I need to be prepared for now in court? She has no evidence other than her word that she lost a skirt, matching top. etc. Can she claim my stuff as hers(our size differs atleast by 3 numbers), can she even file a case over 2 years after we moved away from our shared apartment? I don't know what she wants. Anyone please help what should I do/prepare myself for? Thanks a lot in advance.

This is a civil matter and not a police matter. The best she could do is sue you and she would need to prove it in court in order to win a judgment. The next time she sends an email to you, respond by telling her that you did not take her items and if she wants to contact the police, go ahead. Then advise her to not contact you any further and if she does not comply, you will file a police report against her for stalking. Lastly, I would recommend that you block her email address so she can not contact you that way.

RESPONSE: Don't worry about it. Let her file in small claims court. The burden is on her to prove that you took her items. If she has no proof, the judge will dismiss her claim. There isn't much you can do until she files. Then, just show up and tell the judge your side of the story. If you fail to show up, she could be granted a default judgment and you would be responsible to pay her.

Let her file the police report. I guarantee you they will laugh her out of the precinct. In the meantime, block her email address and her phone number. If she gets through to you, tell her you are done with the drama and she is not to call you anymore. If she calls you on a land line, dial star-57 as soon as you hang up. After 2 times, you can go to the cops. I have done it, and it works wonders.

Ask to meet her somewhere quiet and punch her head in. Afterwards send her an email saying "Oh it was great to meet up with you again after all these years we should really do it again my good friend". She won't bother you again. Make sure you wear leather gloves.

Some people just don't listen.

Hi...

Sneak over and poop on her porch.
