They find it scary! That's why I'm dressing up as "technology" for Halloween to scare my catholic neighbors!

None...as long as it's "real" science and not incorrect assumptions, guesses, speculation or false dogma. God has "omniscience" which is all-knowledge...He is the ultimate scientist and Creator of all things. Science should be a search for the truth of how the universe works to better understand God and glorify Him. Some long-held beliefs of the church long ago have been corrected by scientific discovery which has proven to be accurate so there's room for errors to be changed when the "facts" are known. The Bible contains many scientific facts which were unprovable or unknown to science till recent times. If one accepts the Word of God as totally true, then a close scrutiny of the Scriptures and scientific revelations should concur with each other.

I have asked myself the same question. Why is it a threat to believe in global warming...is it not obvious that we are polluting the planet...is that what God would want?? We should be taking care of the earth and all its life forms. Also as far as creationism vs. evolution....the bible says that to God a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day. WHy can't 7 days be 7 million years.....and who was counting? Why are so many Christians caught up in the time
frame we use today?? Open your minds....so much this or that. I could go on and on
On the other hand I do not beleive it is positive for science to be experimenting with cloning and genetics so much...lets just keep it natural.

a lot of Christians are against evolution being taught at college, and an excellent greater advantageous volume are against stem cellular examine. In some fields that is blockading progression, yet in lots of it is not. It basically so happens that the fields it does block ought to doubtlessly shop lives, or result in greater advantageous know-how of the universe...

what are your motivations for calling God a liar? just a thought. I do not want to hinder the progress of science, unless it goes against the will of God- like abortion and stem cell research- What God says is far more important than what a man says. Some scientists follow the Lord and is great,

As a Christian I dont believe that I do hinder the progress.
Bring it on I say.

I know Scientists who through their work have come to know God.....they have been in complete awe at how a certain process works.

So I personally have no problem with science as long as we are not creating destructive works. Man was born to create and know more its in our nature to progress...why would God not want us to use our skills.

I have had in the past Scientists who have come to me for Angel Healing and although they ask many questions they still kept on coming.

I do not try to hinder science, it has many great benefits to our society, however I do have a problem with people trying to tell me how God did not create, or how old the earth is or isn't and exactly how hot is the sun anyway, when there is no way that they can back these hypothesis up and that is just what they are hypothesis..and that means what you THINK the answer or outcome is...tell me who is it that has actually made a thermometer that goes high enough to tell us how hot the sun is? and how did they get the temperature without being incinerated? just a few questions I have about science, they give guesses and expect us to swallow it hook line and sinker.

I think that we Christians have to try and sort though all the "theories" and untruths of science to see what lines-up with what the Bible says and also try to understand that maybe some of the Bible needs to be studied further to see if we have properly translated the ancient writings. But if we are seen to be hindering science, then it is because science is wrong.

God created the world and that includes science. Truth is the only motivation Christians have when it comes to science. We have not buried our heads in the sand like some people do.

Whilst ever science continues to answer questions it reduces the gaps which xianity occupies.
But as Diane said - it comes down to Money ... and Power.

The more answers xianity says it has the more likely gullible people will fall for their scam and continue to give money to the parasites.
Xianity FEARs knowledge.

Money..

When science answers the unknowns attributed to religious deities the religions lose influence and thus money... By hindering the progress of science religion and religious leaders maintain their hold on the pocketbooks of the masses..
