lip ring help plz?

okay, so i really want a lip ring, but im pretty sure my dad wont let me. what should i tell him so that he'll let me, and where do you guys think i should have it placed?

Do you really want a lip ring or do you THINK you want one because your friends are stupid enought to pierce their body parts and say you should do it too? Try to have the confidence to be yourself. Do what YOU want and not what the flock of sheep (for that is what they are, all copying each other) say. Do you really just want to follow the crowd and be a piercing clone? Or would you prefer to be a strong, self-assured girl who can make up her own mind and make her own decisions?

You're a very pretty girl and your face is beautiful without any self-mutilation.

And I'd advise you not to put pics of yourself on the web like that - there are quite a few weirdos out there.

Ok first off, South is a jackass. His strong opinion about self mutilation and the idea that your picture would instantly draw a perverts attention only further proves his ignorance and lack of social grace.

The best way to talk to your father about it is to be fully informed. There are several websites such as BMEzine.com that offer extensive data bases including pictures, experiences, and even a FAQ page. Go to some of your local shops and talk to piercers about prices and so on. Too be honest, attack this subject as if you were writing a report of school. Be confident and informed. But in the end remember it is your body but respect your dad's wishes (until you are an adult anyways).
As for placement. I have mine to the left side, it seemed like healing on the side made eating easier during the healing process and retainers to hide your piercing are a little less obvious.

i'd go for a nose if i were you, round faces tend to look retarded with lip rings.
and if you dad won't let you, dont go behind his back and do it.
