i have to agree with other posters it is your family being unreasonable. just take one of your parents aside and tell them you cant concentrate on revising your work. maybe it might be a good idea to get the family around a table and put a rota up saying there are to be a couple of hours quiet time just so you can revise. suggest mum and/or dad takes the other siblings out on saturday for a "family outing" and you stay home and revise in the peace and quiet. alternatively can you not use the local library or stay behind and use a lecture hall / classroom at the end of a day to do some revising on your own. i know how frustrated you must be because my parents used to go on at me about getting good grades and yet the tv was always blaring away downstairs while i was trying to study.

Well if your family know you are studying, then they are. However, if you're simply expecting everybody to shut up and tiptoe around as if they live in a monastry and have taken vows of silence - you are.
You live in a house with a family. Compromise is the answer. An entire household cannot run at the behest of 1 member..unless its a parent. Because its their house.
Ask a parent if they could get the rest of the family to keep the nosie to a minimum at certain hours. EG; "I'm going to be studying between 4 and 6, could you ask the others to keep it down a little?"

i just came from a family of 10 so i know hot it feels to have a noisey family. you kind of have to meet in the middle with them as far as this goes. you can't expect them to be quiet whenever you want them to but it is also unfair for them to be loud all of the time. try having a converation with them about this at a time when it's not a big deal. if youaddress the situation when it happens you and or them will probibly get angry.

They are. Exams are a determining point in life for many a person and you only have one real shot for your whole future. Surely they should understand this. After all, its only for a short while till they're over.

You can compromise. Talk to your parents and ask them if you can work out a situation that will work for both of you.
