Question about Islam... I want to ask about Martyrs rewards in heaven according to Islamic belief & the Koran.

It is repeated over and over in the media that if a Muslim dies for their religion that they will be rewarded in heaven with x number of virgins or even x number of little boys. To me this sounds like it was completely made up. When I challenge people who believe it they insist that it is a fact. Someone, please tell me the truth! And if you could provide me with some concrete proof I would be very grateful. And I will give you 10pts:)

Could I have an answer from someone who actually knows something about Islam first hand please???

This is frightening... can no one see that this question is not about terrorism??? It only asks "is this in the Koran or not." It doesn't ask what you believe about Islam or what you think about the media, or the war in Iraq or what your personal religion is." I'd pick a best answer and be done with it if there was one. The muslim heaven is said to be so pleasurable that nobody ever wanted to come back to report on it. Some say that this can be explained by the simple fact that, maybe, there isn't such a heaven at all, and they just died, without heaven or hell to welcome them — but who wants to listen to such negative people? These negative people are already dead, from my perspective.

From my experience, Muslims would rather not talk about the parts if Islam which clearly expose Islam as the will and words of manipulative evil men.

When they DO talk about things like this, they usually say something like

"You dont know what you're talking about! Research, and THEN talk!"
"You don't know Arabic so you can not comment about Islam!"
"That is a lie!"

or they fabricate something to sugar-coat the topic, or even distract you by pointing to similar things in the Bible to justify Mohammad & co.'s writings.

I hope you find an HONEST answer from a genuine decent Muslim here. They DO exist, and they are responsible for reforming Islam.

One thing is clear, like in many religions, the word of God is misinterpreted and misunderstood (unintentionally repeated or acted upon incorrectly) , or twisted (intentionally repeated or acted upon inocrrectly). I think we are attempting to talk about something that deals with Islamic Fundamentalism misrepresenting the word of God written in the Quran in order to induce fear, brainwash pupils, and gain power. I am no expert. i have never been given a verse directly from scripture so that I could go read for myself what the Quran says about this. I seriously need to do some research and i do not listen to what media says.

hmmm, Let me tell you. Its all a lie but sadly its a lie that even few uneducated so called muslims fall for. The only reward for suicide bombing is hell. It is written in the quran but many of them dont read it themselves and listen to the Imam who is a hypocrite idiot himself but now things have started to change for the better. Islam is a cult. But many would say Christianity is a cult as well. The difference though, Muslims believe in Allah while Christians believe in Jesus. There is a difference no matter what people say.

The Koran was derived by man. The Bible was "God-breathed," in other words, God used his disciples to write his commandments.

The problem is, nobody knows what afterlife is like. Faith then comes into play. Faith is everything in religion, regardless of what it is. Without faith, all hope is lost.

It is a big lie made up by western media to defame Islam. No where in quran is written that a martyr will get 72 virgins or any number of wives for suicide killing.

Yes reward of women and every thing else they will desire is mentioned in Quran for Prophets, Scholars of Religion Islam, Martyrs and pious believers who will do more good deeds than fewer wrong deeds. There will also be lots of levels of heaven. Those who made it on margin will live in lower level as compared to people in the highest level like Prophets, scholars, Martyres and very pious people.

God encourages believers to be good and be concious of presence of God near them all the times to earn heaven and also have good desires fullfilled. Islam does allow more than one wife in this life if need be, provided a man treats one or all his wives equally as the case may be. Equal love for all is not possible and is not required. But every husband with more than one wife must provided equally to all wives and their children.

Except some % of Arabs, most Muslims in rest of the Muslim countries stay traditonally with one wife only. More than one wife in India, Pakistan, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia are seen vey seldom and is done to provide and protect relative widows.
God says in Quran that if believers will want wife he has in this life, in heaven also, they will get them and if desire additional wives they may get too, depending on how good record of equal treatment to wife or wives they had in this life.

If some one was unfair with his one wife as compared to other favorite one in this life, was very cruel to the one and only wife, did mistreat his wife or abused any way, he certainly will be punished in hell, let alone get more than one wife in heaven.

I have read Quran many times and have listened to scholars all my adult life. I guarantee you that there is no any number of wives or virgins mentioned in Quran for martyrs.

Off course all men and women will be resurrected with new bodies. So they all will be virgins. So talking about virgin women in heaven is of no importance. It is deliberate
exagerated by western media to make Muslims look ridiculous or sex meniacs. Certainly no such people will enter in heaven.

Yes if not enough wordly wives will get in heaven and more women will be needed for good believers who have been rewarded heaven, it is easy for God to create more women and men as needed.

there is a prophet's saying in which the martyr will have 72 virgin wives in heaven, little boys are not a reward, nor is suicide bombing /killing civilians an act of martyrdom.
there are servants in heaven, young , good looking, not sexual slaves , not little boys for pedophiles.
there are many rewards for martyrdom, jihad, and it isn't just about fighting a war or a dead policeman who was killed by terrorists .
