Ha ha. NASA does not have the motive to be "Like God." In the Bible it states that the builders of the Tower of Babel were destroyed by God because their motive was in this quote (paraphrased) "Come, let us build a tower and BE LIKE GOD..." The answer is right there. Until NASA wants to become like God, then God will not destroy them.

According to the Bible, the tower of Babel was a carbon nanotube space elevator. So far all God has had to do was blow up a few Space Shuttles.

It wasn't a question of height. God was angered by the tower of Babel because the builders were specifically trying to be greater than God. To outdo him.
NASA is just about exploration. They're not trying to compete with God. ( not that I've heard anyway )

I'll got thumb-down shower for this...but what the heck.
That wasn't God who's got angry to the builders of the tower.
That was the devil doing God.
Now, think about it:
The real God will not be bothered by humans come together as one. The only explanation why he is bothered by the fact that human can achieve anything, is that it wasn't God. It was the inferior image of God, who has weaker power than humans; the devil.

NASA is not claiming GOD HOOD they are just getting a better look at the space people call Heaven do to it's beauty at night.
