How do you feel about stealing from a church? Will you notice how you feel? Do you even care?

If the church has a day care the diapers probably belong to either the day care, or more likely, an individual child at the day care. Usually parents have to provide diapers for their children in care. If it is an emergency I think it would be OK to use a diaper, but I would leave a note and plan to replace it the next time you are at church. I am sure they would notice if you took a whole pack someone pays for those diapers and I am sure they are there for a specific reason. Unless there is a note saying that they are for public use. Even then it would be extremely rude to take more than one or two diapers. Obviously you use them you know how expensive they are. I would actually ask first or find another parent with a young child and ask if you can "borrow" a diaper. Most people are more than willing to give you one or two.

By all means, if you need a diaper and don't have any at that time, use one. That's what they are there for. However, if this is about taking something since it won't be noticed, you know the answer to that. If it's about not being able to afford diapers, talk to someone about it and see if you can get assistance from your church or the government.

I'm sure you'd be able to use one if you needed to, if you need one while you're there for a service or something, but sneaking a whole pack is a bit rude and dishonest. Just ask someone in charge who oversees that kind of thing--I'm sure they won't mind helping you out...but taking them without asking might be more than slightly presumptuous...if people the following week need to use some for their kids...

Ask at your courthouse for help for families with young children on low income. You could get some financial help that way. Also, the police department usually has lists of organizations set up to help people. Otherwise, ask the Pastor. That's always the nicest thing to do.

Are you seriously in need? Then if so just ask the Pastor for help. There is no way in the world you could live with yourself stealing from the Church when all you need to do is ask for help.

It's fine to take one when you're child needs changing. They may not notice but taking the whole pack is going a little to far.

If you are short on money, why don't you just ask for extra diapers. If you just take them that is stealing, but I guess you could just go to confession and it would all be good.

I have stolen from everywhere and churches don't make any difference because god doesn't exist so really you are stealing from a place that lies to people so that they will give them money, who is the criminal besides you in that equation?
