He has had a fever for 2 days off and on now and i just not feeling up to par. He is 2 1/2 years old. I'm not so much worried about his fever, it's just his breath kind of smells like acetone just very faintly.....no he did not ingest anything, i know this for sure...the only answer i got that is along the lines of what i am asking was that he might have diabetes. Does anyone have experience with illness and weird smelling breath?

If he isnt eating a lot, he could be in ketoacidosis from fasting. The body starts burning the fat reserves for energy. A ketone smell is quite normal in that case.

Persi is proper, you do want a transition and that was once rather my handiest feedback. Since she provided that up all I rather must do is present a few props. I've learn alot of stuff on right here within the month when you consider that I've joined and so much of it's depressingly unhealthy. Your piece isn't just readable it's compelling. You rather do have a voice and also you even have the capability to make your piece drift. Obviously it's not ideal however you rather do have some thing occurring. Keep writing. Please. Thanks for posting.

My children always had a sort of "sour" smelling breath when they had a fever. It became a kind of "fever detector". I don't know what causes it, just that it happens.

I hope I've helped you.
