I havn't watched Sesame Street in YEARS and just last week started watching it again. Well, sort of. My son (14 months) watches it and I glimpse at it every-so-often. Anyway, I havn't seen Big Bird at all! what ever happened to him? If I'm not mistaken, he was pretty much the "main" character. and Stuffy and the dog? where are they all???

Carroll Spinney (the Muppeteer in the Big Bird costume) is still very much alive so Big Bird is still on the show alonside Snuffy and the rest...but format changes to the show in the last few years shifted from the original characters (human and Muppet alike) to focus more on Elmo. Big Bird and the others still appear-but not so much anymore.

I saw Big Bird this morning. He was standing next to a Snuffy and a giant eggplant. The dog, Barkley, is still there too. Barkley isn't on too often though.

i think th eperson who plays big bird died but.....not sure he is on some of the episodes.........and snoopy i cant really recall seeing him
