If you are going to start your new job on 10/30, then yur last day of work at your current job would be 10/29 if you normally would work that day, or 10/26 if you work Monday-Friday. OK, ir's not quite 2 weeks, but real close.

Either one. You can choose the 29th or the 30th. The end of 2 weeks will be the 30th but 1 day won't make much of a different. Put in your 2 weeks notice tomorrow and put on it that your last day at work will be on the 29th.

It specific sounds such as you would be on trip with out pay. i'm hoping that's no longer what you expected.
