I call myself a Christian. But technically speaking, I'm protestant becauase I'm not Catholic and part of the LCMS - the Lutheran Church Missourri Synod. The beliefs of protestants are hard to explain because there are so many different divisions.
I'm LCMS because I agree with the beliefs. For example: Women can't be pastors(or deconesses as their called if they're allowed) but they can be a DCE (Director of Christian Education), Mary the mother of Jesus is not holy like Jesus is,you can partake in Communion once you complete a "Confirmation class" (it's usually finished during 8th grade) and there aren't any saints like there are in the Catholic faith

agnostic. you shouldnt just shop around for religion, you should only worship when you feel compelled to do so. you are young so just live your life and eventually if you decide that you want to be part of a religion then go for it. i am agnostic because idont know, part of me honestly believes that there is nothing out there, then the other part says that god cant be disproved, so there i am. i dont worship any god, and i doubt i ever will, but since i have some sort of conflict between spirituality and atheism i am an agnostic.

Here is some advise:
Do not choose a religion at a young age. Develop your mind with what you are taught in school, be it the basic subjects of learning and so forth. Take on some things that interest you and become good at them.
When you reach a reasonable age, perhaps even adulthood and your mind and ability to discern critically is developed, look into it. Don't think that you have to worry about this now. As well, being non-religious can be just as beneficial and wondrous a life as the religious. Think about this as well.

If your questioning your religion and feel a need to change...ask yourself, why? Why do you feel you MUST belong to one certain religion? Maybe you can just be spiritual, and not have to be a part of one particular religion? I do suggest that you read and study up on different religions and then decide what makes most sense to you. Every religion is different, and DESPITE what most Christians will tell you, their's is NOT the only or right one....different beliefs and religions exist for a reason, and its very small minded of Christians to even think that they are the best and the only ones. They have been TAUGHT (i mean brainwashed) to think these thoughts, and it saddens me, that they can't pull away and learn to think for themselves, and NOT what they were taught. There is a HUGE world out there full of many culture's and religions. They were created for a reason. You can choose to be a part of one that feels most right for you, or just be true to yourself and live in good values. I PROMISE you won't go to this so called hell if you step away from religion all together.
*for the record, I'm not athiest. :)

I am a Wiccan. I was raise a Catholic. As you are young and having what seem to be open parents, this is a wonderful time to explore all religions. Read! Research! Study! Learn about as many religions and beliefs as you can. Then your heart will guide you where you need to be. I applaud you parents for being open minded enough to let you explore for yourself. So....explore! Many blessings in your journey!

Read the Bible and let God direct your path. As you read you will begin to know the truth then find a church that teaches what you read in the Bible. A good place to start in the Book of John. I personally go to a 7th day Adventist Church. I believe that they teach closest to the what the Bible says. But you should follow God and what he impresses upon you. You will find that there is a lot of places that teach partial truth, beware. Do not let anyone tell you what truth is find it yourself with the help of the Holy Spirit. God Bless you on your journey!.

Come learn about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - it's fun to be in a church with such a long name :)
There are so many awesome reasons I'm a member of this church- the people are great, the church is always there when you need it, almost anywhere you are in the world, the young people of the church are so strong and have such solid standards and priniciples. Most of all, I've come so close to my Heavenly Father and to Jesus through this church.

I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I know who I am.
I know God's plan.
I'll follow Him in faith.
I believe in the Savior Jesus Christ.
I'll honor his name.
I'll do what is right to follow his light.
His truth I will proclaim.
P.S. It's a song, but it states some of what I believe!!

My God is Jehovah!!! He is the beginning and the last. He has been so good to me and my family. He has given me wonderful promises that He fulfils time and time again. He loves me unconditionally. His grace is sufficient for me. He asks me to do good to my brother and neighbour and forgives me when I repent. He understands that I am weak and He strengthens me. He hears me when I cry out for him and answers me even though half of the time I fail to acknowledge Him. His ways may be tough for my flesh and mind yet His Holy Spirit lights my way. I am convinced everyday that He loves me. And finally, He gave His only son to die for my sins. What more could I ask?
