First of all I am too a Christian. I believe everything the bible says is true which it is. Anyway where do you think God literally came from. I know the bible says he has always been, but did'nt he come from somewhere? Where did that come from? Maybe we just cannnot simply answer this til we are in heaven and can ask God ourselves but I just want to know what you think. Someone told me that somewhere in the bible it refers to God coming from a land of Nad???

God is.
No beginning.
No end.

Closest I can come to Nad is Nod, where Cain went into....

Gen 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
If you really believe the Bible, then believe this. God is from EVERLASTING. He is eternal. He did not come from anywhere. He is the first cause. He always was. He can't come from "somewhere" because He is omnipresent (present everywhere). He is a spirit. Whoever told you that God from a land of Nad was wrong. Hope this helps.
God bless you. Keep studying your Bible.

God it eternal. Eternal means no beginning, no end -- no past, no future, just a constant IS. That's why God's name is "I AM".

Mortal (like humans and animals) means you have a beginning and an end.

Immortal (like angels) means you have a beginning but no end.

Eternal (like God) means you have neither a beginning nor an end. Through the grace of Christ, we mortals can become eternal.

God didn't come from the Land of Nod (not Nad) -- whoever told you that was badly mistaken.

We may never have that answer for as long as we live in mortal bodies but the reference you are looking for is in the following verse.

Genesis 4:16 (New King James Version)
New King James Version (NKJV)

The Family of Cain

16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.

I believe he has just always "been". I don't even question His existance or His origin. I just believe. I have Faith that the Bible is Truth.

Nod, not Nad was the land that Cain went to after he killed Abel. Maybe that's where you are confused.

I never heard of God coming from Nad. He had no begining, He just always "was", He will have no end to his being. Its like the prayer Glory Be, it goes like this: glory be the father to the son to the holy spirit, as it was in the begining, is now , ever shall be, world without end! Amen!

If you are truly a Christian, you would know that God is that which the human brain cannot comprehend. We know(via reason) that there is a Supreme Creator but we cannot define him. Very many people who have tried to explain...or define God died crazy men.
You would need faith to believe in God..but it's not empty faith; there are multiple reasons(staring us in the face) to believe that there is a living creator of our universe.

PS...sorry, I didn't know this question was only for Christians.

Simple thought is the first and most powerful beginning of all things and all things come from that process hence the first thing one thinks " usually " who am I? Perhaps this was the very beginning even for a god?

ok so ur saying that u believe the bible is 100% fact, but then you dont believe that the part about God always being there is??

anyway, i can see how this is confusing. i dont even get it. we have to realize that god is not bound by time- he CREATED time. we were born and live in, well, time. that is why it is hard to understand. but hey, thats just one more amazing and unfathomable thing about our God!!
