Spider droppings. Seriously. I'm not kidding. Go to one of these clusters..................now, look up. You'll see a web or where a web could be hidden. My neighbor had the same problem and we found the solution eventually.
Of course, you can buy spider spray. But if you are not keen on the idea of those strong chemicals inside your home, you can use ammonia in a spray bottle.......works just as well.
Hope I've helped.

It sounds like an optical migraine. As opposed to a real migraine, an optical migraine also involves an aura that comes before a migraine attack, but there is the absence of pain. This is rarer than the migraine that comes with severe pain. It is also know as acephalgic migraine or visual or ocular migraine. It is a migraine aura unaccompanied by headache. The visual disturbances that are experienced are flashing lights that look like zigzag or “fortress-like” lights. These auras usually begin as small visual marches crossing the field of vision that slowly fades away. Attacks like these last for several minutes to almost an hour. If it will come with a headache, the pain will follow in an hour. An optical migraine can also be experienced as a blind spot in the field of vision.

Usually from liquids. At my moms house, my younger brother spills stuff on the couches. If you have a animal, female dog, it could be in heat. If you have a leather couch, it could be in the sun too much. If It is cloth, try and put it thru the wash, then AIR DRY IT, dont put it in the dryer. Good Luck!

It is mould. Make sure your furniture is not pressed up against walls. Keep an air flow around things.

It could be fly droppings or any number of other insect leavings.
How easily does it clean off?

Could be "fly blow" or fly excrement. Do you have any kind of insects or other creepy crawlies in your house? Is there high humidity in your living quarters that could cause some kind of mold or mildew?
