It is not recommended. You should only am to lose a pound a week and keep it off. Any more causes see-saw dieting. You will probably lose more anyway cos as a rule when you first start dieting you get a large drop in the first week as you always lose a lot of water. Just try eating smaller portions, use a tea plate and not a dinner plate. Always eat breakfasts. Don't starve yourself. You should aim to eat between 1400- 1600 calories a day. Drink plenty of water, and a brisk walk of half an hour a day will ensure that your weight slowly but surely comes off. If you lose it gently you wont get a horrible saggy overhang either! I have lost 85 pounds and it doesn't look awful. lol:-D

If I remember correctly, a stone is equal to 14 lbs. Losing 7 lbs in a month is doable...losing 14 in the same period is dangerous.
Stop eating all firm fruits (apples, pears, etc), all roots (carrots, potatoes) and all grains (rice, wheat, oats, etc, bread, cake, cookies, pastries, etc). Give up peas.
Ditch sugar, honey, and all artificial sweeteners.
Drink WATER...and lots of it...1.5 to 3 gallons (6 to 12 liters per day).
Eat fish, lean meat, and poultry.
Two days a week, work out your arms...pushups, lifting 75% of your maximum lift (as many reps as you can do, then lower the weight and repeat), and so on. On three days, do cardiocascular activities--jogging, fast dancing, aerobics, etc. Break them up...don't do the same exercises two consecutive days.
Do this, and you should have no problem.

Half a stone is only 7lbs and on the right diet you can lose 2lbs a week so in 4 weeks that would be 8lbs maybe a bit more and still be healthy

Exercise, increase your exercise. Eat better more healthy choice foods. It will work if you put your mind to it. Good luck.
