How come when people say "i'm an atheist i don't believe in God. They always try to disclaim God and jesus, but they never try to say I don't believe in the devil or satan because that stupid or whatever reason they have for not believing. Well its usually taken as being understood that the Devil is so tightly connected to God that by saying that god doesn't exist, your also implying disbelief in the devil. I have yet to meet someone who believed in the devil but not God, and I'm not too sure how that would work without completely rewriting who the Devil actually is.

I don't know what your implying by the coincidence remark, or rather I do and its rather stupid. Claiming that the other side is somehow influenced by the devil is a pretty pathetic defense to keep from listening to an alternative view point. 'Its the work of the devil' can used to try to keep you away from nearly anything that outside the Bible, its not like you need proof or anything.

Most atheists don't believe in God OR The Devil and see them both as man made superstitions.

Saying that though, trying to disprove religion is a very futile waste of time. The fact that someone is religious means they have made a choice against reason. And this usually makes them ignore reasoned debate.

People can believe in whatever they like as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's done peacefully.

First of all: be consistent in your spelling of Atheist. Second you question is actually very hard to understand due to poor syntax, but I shall try to answer accordingly. I do not always try to disclaim "God and jesus." However, when I do disclaim religion, as it were, I disclaim all deities, God, jesus, the devil, Thor, Apollo, etc. So I can conclude to the only question you asked ("Coincidence?" which is not actually a question itself) with the answer "no" as the question is without merit.

There is a Biblical reason for it.. God and Satan work hand and hand... Sometimes the same Bible writers have a hard time to figure out who is causing a tragedy for Israel... is it God or Satan?

I Chronicles 21:1 (NIV) Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.

2 Samuel 24:1 (NIV) Again the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, "Go and take a census of Israel and Judah."

As you can see, it is enough to say that God did it! He is the boss. Who do you think that caused all the evil in the life of Job? God Almighy, of course!

Job 42:11 (KJV) Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over ALL THE EVIL that the LORD had brought upon him:

I know how you feel... Ignorance is the breeding ground of faith.... So I wish you the best in your quest of the truth!

No, I'd say the average atheist doesn't believe in any supernatural being. It's just that Christians tend to worship god, so it's more convenient to say "I don't believe in God". If they met a Satanist, I'm sure they would say "I don't believe in the Devil". However, if you want to believe that all us atheists secretly meet to worship the devil, by all means do that. We couldn't be bothered.

An atheist by definition believes in no aspects of religion, whether this is God or the Devil. What you observe is likely a modality of speech and not infact a religiously significant act as you imply.

The biggest reason I never say I don't believe in the devil, is that no one ever tries to convince I should believe in the devil. If I knew satanist, I would have a reason to say I don't. I don't believe in supernatural concepts.

Do theists say they believe in the devil when they say they believe in God? It's in the Bible. What are they hiding?

The fact that atheists say they don't believe in God or gods, does not imply belief in other entities. Of course, the fact that you are trying to imply it, shows that theists enjoy deception, and deception is a tool of guess who.

Coincidence, or are you a devil worshiper?

This deceptive technique is easily reversed, so I suggest you drop it.

I do not believe in ANY supernatural being. Gods, devils, daemons, dragons unicorns, mermaids, etc.

When you ask about religion, do you ask people if they believe in god? Or do you first ask if they believe in the devil?

You are reading way more into this than is there.

Do you believe in the ancient Egyptian god Ra? Hmmm. Do you believe in Thor, Odin, or any of the gods of the other religions? What about some of the aboriginal religions? Do you believe in those gods?

You are atheist when it comes to at least one religion. You are probably atheistic when it comes to many religions. Unless you believe in every single god then you are an atheist in one way or another.

So, why do you question anyone who questions your religion?
